its probably been mentioned before but I was messing around with google earth today looking at shit and decided to look at some places where I know theres tin but haven't been able to get close enough to know how much. It works pretty good, be nice if it was clearer, did more rural areas and was a little more up to date. Atleast you can make out cars from bales though lol
Isn't most of that dated[like a few years],unless you are a subscriber? I have looked on "TerraServer",available here in the US and it was 1995....
I'm waiting for the Iraq war stuff to hit the surplus market...I'l be sitting in front of my TV checking behind every barn and gas station in the state with my fleet of Predator drones...
http://local.live.com/ A little slow. Some areas, almost all of Mass. for example, have a feature where you can look in on a side shot from all four directions. Amazing what shows up then. The database for Mass. was taken from a database the state uses to find (and fine) people filling in wetlands illegally so the detail is very good. Scrump
the only issue I see with google earth and the like is soon your neighbours are going to want you to scrap all your cars because they can see them from space and your runing their property values.
The government can see Old Cars...Hey! Didn't old cars bring lots of money at that auction thing? Let's TAX THEM! Government already understands the use of overhead photography; 30 years ago, a junkyard gave me an aerial photo of their whole operation...it was made for the county government, which comprehensively photographed farms to look for new barns and sheds not on the tax record. Got an address with 5 cars and 2 license plates? Think they might see some use for that info?
all of these sites show a picture of my house with my toybox trailer in the driveway. i sold it 2 years ago.
