So I've been collecting parts for like 2 years to build this *****. I finally got to the part where I put everything on the ch***is and start moving everything around to get the right proportions and get the vision thats been burned into my head out and on the ground in metal and rubber. Now I've got this surge of motivation, but its still probably a year from being done. FAWK!

1942 1.5 Ton Chevy, former City of Oklahoma City truck. I bought it off eGay for $150 out of eastern OK. (Which is a hell of a story for another time)
    Highlights:
6" chop care of Kenny Baker "Choprods"
I flipped the frame and restacked the leaves so the thing rides underslung now I still need to play with the pack and the arch to get my ride height dialed in.
'40 Cadillac Flathead with all the rare speed parts, Cyclone heads and Edmunds dual carb intake w/ 97's
    TH400 w/Modded Aux Overdrive
20" International Harvester rims, 32" front Denmans, 35" rear Denmans off a car from Disney World. Modded to accept Ford caps.

Whats up in the air is the rearend, currently has an S-10 rearend mocked up, but if I can rob a bank I really want to go with a Cyclone quickchange since you'll be able to see it in the bed.

Rather than channel the floor to get the bottom of the cab flush with the bottom of the frame, I'm actually going to slice 3"s out of the frame since the frame is 7"s tall. So as you can see below, the cab is sitting high on the frame.

I can't tell from the picture, I have a SMALL screen, but is the rearend "underslung" also?? If it is -interesting--! I have never seen an underslung rearend before. Keep movin' on, wish I had the motivation for mine but the cold weather drags me down...Ken

Yep mockups are everything. I need to cut the firewall up and move the cab forward 2" or so to **** up that space between the motor and the cab. As well as get the cab down further over the frame. After all that I'll dial in on the rear a bt more. I'm way up in the air about it. And after seeing so many abortions, you know proportions make or break a rod no matter the parts and the craftsmen ship.

The rear will be underslung as well.

Lookin good. I kinda like the frame just like it is. Looks rather industrial. Any idea what kind of grill yet? Please don't put a 32 ford on it.

  9. Mockups are everything and they keep you motivated to make progress. The wheels are cool and make the truck stand out. I like it--keep us posted on the progress.

77 a side after I cut those huge *** 3/8 x 12" tall reinforcing plates off the side of that frame!!! God grinding ****s!!! And I still lack everything on the inside of the "C"

Thanks for the props on the frame. Its silly over built.
No duece stuff on here. I'm even trying to keep the Ford stuff to a minimum, all GM if I can help it. Going with a '35 Chevy grill, and some crazy WWII Japanese heavy truck Blackout headlights. The lenses even say "Tokyo" on them.

Cyclone heads & quickies go together! If ya want, put your name in now on that quickie, I've sold out the 1st run, & have 10 raw castings which you saw when you visited waiting their turn on the CNC when that mill gets free'd up.

I dig them headlights & wheels! Stance will be killer as well!

    Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a pecker puffer, but it don't look gay to me. Looks more like a clone of something, done 10 times before.

Wyatt, killer mock-up. Excellent job. I've always been intrigued by inverted frames. Can't wait to see it blowin' down the road.
    Later man............
