I am glad someone brought this old thread back up -- I've enjoyed reading it! Yeah, I am a Mopar guy at heart too. I've had somewhere between 30 and 40 of them. I lost track years ago. This is my current toy -- even though it is not true HAMB material, I have to show it off to keep in the spirit of this thread. It WAS an original 340 GTS car (GTS Registy # 293) It is currently running a 360 with a nice kick of NOS. A lot of smiles per mile!
Nice lookin Dart 47 Tudor Guy!!!!! Looks like the same kinda fun my Demon was.... http://crazymoparguy.homestead.com/71prostreetdemon.html
Hey, Crazy Mopar GUy -- thanks for the compliment! That is a nice Demon too!! I have had at least three of them that I can remember. I love those cars. My son is after me to get another one. I have been playing with this Dart GTS for over 12 years now, and I am still not done. But at least I can drive it! It took me almost 5 years to get it to THAT point! But at least I did 90 % of it myself. I still have more plans, but I want to get my 47 done first. Then I can really go nuts on the Dart! I almost put a mopar drive line in the 47. I love the mopar powerplants, plus I know them inside out and have TONS of spares laying around, but I went SBC instead, just to do something different (at least it is different for me!!!).
Compliment well deserved, that Dart looks great! Any more pics of your 47? I'm building a 1940 Plymouth I've owned for a long time, here's a pic of it the way it was when I first got it on the road in the early-mid 1980s...........
I`m a huge Mopar fan. Got me a 1967 Belvedere 4 door. Minitubbed, rear springs have been moved to framerails and made subframeconnectors for it too. I have 440 with a blower for it. Should be able to piss of somebody with this taxi
Hi TwinH!!!! Ever heard of Jyrki? He's from Finland with some REALLY mean Mopars, I like his four door A body that runs 10s, total sleeper! Any pics of your Belvedere? The street racing stuff over there is wild, truly impressive!
Hi CrAzY MoPaR GuY! Yeah, I know Jyrki. I have always liked that four door he has. Real Sleeper! That´s actually one of the cars that inspired me to start my project. My Plymouth ain´t nothing but a shell right now but I´ll see if I can post some pics. The last thing I did to it before I started working with my Hudson was to move the engine back some 4+ inches and fabricate elephant ears.
I was a GM guy when I was young and switched over to Mopars. I really admire the engineering and the stump pulling torque. The Satellite has a 440 and a kiesler 5-speed. The Fury has a long history I'm going to write about as soon as I get it running, and the yellow car, it's a 440 as well. A before and after shot of the power plant.
Hey buddy, got one here too.50 Coronet in the construction zone. This years pile-up,my first, gave me the kick in the ass to get working on it again. Fuzz

MoPar spoken here! Desoto's are my favorites but I mess with a lot more. My baby! I also deal with oddball MoPar accessories like underdash record players and steering wheel clocks. And some more addictions!
Actually they are electric or gas powered! http://www.jrcentral.com is my website where you can learn more!
