I was wondering if anyone had built or seen a roadster type build made out of an old Cadillac (late 20's). I know ford is the traditional route, but I was just curious.

Is it just a lack of interest or a lack of vehicles to start with, or that they would just be so damn ugly no one wants to do it.

Post some pics if you got em.

If you're looking, good luck. I've been looking for awhile. The supply is just too low to meet the demand so the prices are CRAZY! Not to long ago I ran across a late 20s opera coupe that was going for huge money disassembled!

Last year I built a 2 door Tub out of a 1927 Chrysler 4 door. I don't know how to post pictures, but if you search Titus' Get Together on the HAMB, you'll see it. I think you could start with any sedan body from the 1920's and come up with similar results. You'll have to judge for yourself how ugly (or not) mine came out.

    Sure would!;)

    Thanks sweetie!:D

You guys are correct, it's not my car, it is BobW's and I was just posting a photo of it from an afternoon we spent together last summer in WI instead of making everyone search for the Titus thread that BobW was referring to.

One day soon though I'll have a cool little roadster.;)

  9. My bad.:p

    Still a kick-ass car though!

The reasons no one "hot rods" luxury cars is
A: They're huge (and sometimes ugly) and
B: Worth a lot of money
OK here's a couple of pics I found of 1928 Caddys
This first one is for sale $125k

  13. Hey Denise I thought you owned a Big Olds Roadster:cool:

  14. I often wonder if people read before posting. :D Anyway, that roadster is cool, I'd like to see more of it. I like how the front parallel leaves look, I usually don't like 'em, but that car pulls it off.

  15. I'm in the planning stages of a Cadillac custom roadster now. It will be a post-war bodied open wheeled car. Hoodless with the most unusual powerplant ever. For now I just call it the "secret project".
