  4. CHRR. Meet the old racers, see the historic cars, BBQ with the Vipers, what's not to love?

    March Meet, same as above.

VLV, people watching at its best! The music ain't bad either.

Hamb Drags, where else can you drag race, drink beer, pee outside and not get arrested? I'm gonna make it to Bonneville some day.

My favorite car 'weekend' is damn near every time I drive my car on said weekend. Just me and my car on a lonely stretch of highway....doesn't get any better.
    Don't do shows often.

My second favorite is the HAMB drags.

I ain't saying my first favorite, because I don't want it to get too big!

The Pileup is fun, but if you've ever put on a show, you know it's a completely different way of "fun" for us. ;)

I had a blast at the Primer Nats and at the Roundup. Also the few times I've been to VLV. I haven't missed an Indy Rockabilly/Road Rocket Rumble in several years.

The one I look forward to all year is the Pileup, and soon to come, "Scrap Drive" at Boone County Fairgrounds, Belvidere, Ill. June 9th,'07.

Hunnert, mainly because it's a 3 day event for my dad and I. I gotta say that the Detroit Autorama is a close second, especially since it's a whopping 20 minutes from the house.

L.A. Roadster show will always be first love- because my dad started taking me when I was 4, 36 years ago. My new love has to be the Roundup- best event I've been to hands down!

Geez, thanks Jim. Coming from a "magazine guy", that has covered a bunch of great shows, I take that as a really big compliment. Hope this year lives up to the hype!!!

I hear ya loud and clear. It's a blast, but I don't feel like we really get to enjoy it the same way. I think I appreciate other shows a lot more than I did before, so it's a pretty darn good trade.

I really want to get to the Pileup. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Except I don't do well with cold. Thin Texas blood.

Hands down up here it has to be the world famous Swindlers Tri County Poker Run. Two hundred miles of hotrodding with major traffic citations by some of the finest. Following that is the Hotrodarama or should I say going to and from the Hotrodarama. Both are always highlights every year.

Yeah, maybe TOO MANY events! ;) I'm sure it will live up- it's not just the event, but the people, cruising Congress and the whole Austin vibe. Couldn't have that event in L.A. and have it be half as cool. Thanks, Jim

Aww, the Pileup isn't THAT cold, Buzzard! Hell, Evel can handle ...and he's from California! He just bought a parka as soon as he stepped off the plane. Besides, it's been over 70* for 2 of the 5 Pileups. :D

Lonestar Roundup, both because it's the one I've been to of those mentioned, and because it's in Austin, and Austin is weird (in a good way).
