West Coast - GG Puyullap - Its like going home for me.. see so many old friends and the cars are the best in the nation

East Coast - Jalopy Showdown. decent show but the people make it what it is (as does the track).

PrimerNationals- Lots of good cars, alot of my favorite people and the weather is always decent

Paso Robles- Also lots of good cars, great atmosphere, the town really gets into it, the drive up there is half the fun. The Friday night cruise is worth the price of admission

Rat Fink Show at LACR- Crazy people, it's entertaining watching Moldy run around like a headless chicken, State Fair atmosphere and we always go through tech and then "do laps" thrashing our rods like we stole them. Last time I think I made 9 passes, my poor whitewalls will never be the same and my kid ended up with his shoebox on a flatbed.

  8. I've been goin to the LA Roadster show since I was a kid. Out of the shows i've been to,I would have to say Primer Nats,Mooneyes X-Mas,and Paso. Back to the Beach is pretty good too.

It was more fun with Drunken Bowling night, But still a blast...all things considered! ( I have officially repressed Blowing my car up on the way there.)

I'd have to say Paso as it was the first true KUSTOM show and I've gone almost every year since 1983, however now that I live here the Jalopy Showdown has got to be one of the best.
I want to hit a bunch of the other East Coast shows this year.

Paso is #1 on my list for sure, nothing like some exhaust fumes and checking out some rides during the day, and camping out in the woods by night...

I haven't missed a Hershey Swap Meet since 1969 so that is my favorite car week, I get to meet people from all over the world. LA Roadster Show & Bonneville are at the top of my MUST DO list.

  20. Wussie nuthin... I was there in the 106 degree heat. That cooked the wussie right off me.

When gas prices come down I'll move it to the #2 slot, how's that...?:D

    HAMB Drags

Shooting the shit with Flat-top Bob, Big A, Doug, Little Mike, etc. Finding my wife at the bar with Norm Garboski, listening to Ryan take care of bisness. Watching with a grin as Thirtyfivepickup makes the rounds. And getting a hug from Denise .... all on the first night. I could go on and on with names but EVERYBODY made the whole weekend what it is.

Then spending the next day in awe of all the great tin that showed up, and later watching them run down the track with such a feeling of history ... there was definitly ghost there that night!

But seeing the look on the faces of the AA members that wondered out of the hotel to see all of us out there was the funniest!!!!

Thank God for Nads and the RUMBLERS !
They put on a GREAT show, and I'm SO happy they do it.

I have been to the HAMB Drags, Viva-Las Vegas and the HotRod Drags in Bakersfield a couple of times. I've enjoyed all the events I've had the pleasure to attend.

Maybe we can get some guys here in Florida to speak up and try to organize an event over here on the Gulf Coast Side .

I like crusin' Paso Robles for the customs, Ca Hot rod reunion for the variety, Greedy guys Del Mar because it's 20 minutes away, But I love the Ranch Run because it is a full on reliability run that means it's an event for drivers, not posers.

There are lots of cool events out there, but it's all weak tea compared to Speed Week at the salt.
