I borrowed this pic from the "Illinois S****yard" thread in the hopes someone could identify the car, specifically the taillights. I'm racking my brain but drawing a complete blank. I've fallen in love with them and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks!:)

Definitely not '56 Dodge tail lights.

They are "somewhat" similar to '57-59 Dodge, in visual design. But I think they're aftermarket jobs because those definitely aren't OEM Dodge and I don't know of another make with lamps that do that, especially joined together in a single casting (which Dodge never did).

It looks like a 54 chevy but the taillights are 55 dodge. 56 dodge had a fin instead of rolling down at the top.

55 dodge probably a base model...not the custom royal lancer with the fins on top. That was my first car. Miss it alot.....

55 dodges had bolt on chrome fins on certain models. 56 dodge was all molded in.

I stand corrected, it is '55 Dodge.

I thought the dark part between the lenses was the casting itself, my mistake.

Thank you gentlemen - I'm trying to put two and two together - Gotgas seems pretty sure those are not OEM - but those pics provided look pretty damn close.
Maybe the owner would be willing to part out/sawzall off the rear quarters for me to mould in to my ride. Hmmmm. Thanks again - those are *****in.

I didn't even look closely at the correction of my correction. :D Of course '55s didn't actually have fins. I'm just going to stop now while I'm still wrong. :D

I'll bet that '54 was really cool when it was first done. I always enjoy finding an old custom in the junk yards.

I can't believe those bezels are still there. Good find.

Why don't you save the whole car? Someone built this a long time ago, it would be a shame to cut it all up. Is it as rough as it looks.

I would be interested in saving it, however from what I've heard, there's probably not even a frame left underneath that rotted sheetmetal. I would at the very least like to emulate those on a similar car (my 50 chev) - since I know where they come from and that the owner doesn't tend to part out, I'll probably be shopping for those tailights from another source.
