  1. Just went to order one and it says that both are out of stock now :(

  2. I think we need to post pictures of all of these after they are customized!!! Kind of a R/C car show!

I'd love to take the "spoilers" off, but I've already smacked a few curbs, so mine are staying on. It's a driver, not a trailer queen you GOLDCHAINERS!!! :D

Got my 54 on Friday, mine seems to have some suspension problems, I will try to fix it when I tear it apart to paint.

"This is the baddest car....Choppers for Life" - definately has some gay shit on it, but what the hell, it was $20.00

yes the tie rods are a little short, causesa A LOT of unessisary toe on the wheels, makes 'em pretty shitty to drive.

  8. ok then mine isn't the only one...might have to mess with that a little too.
cool though i can try out different paint jobs on it before i do the real thing...

I took a closer look at the "sparking" mechanism. It's a simple set up using 2 flints and 2 lighter wheels. The problem in the design is that the flints are too short for the tubes they're housed in. So they bounce too much to make any spark. I tried packing the tubes with small cardboard pieces and it's delicate balance between too tight (spark wheels won't turn at all) and too loose (back to the original problem). I'm thinking a small cut spring out of a ball point pin or longer flints would do the trick. I should rip off that clear plastic sissy guard too. Yes. I know I spent way too much time on this.

BTW, if you get it going full speed in a straight line, jam it in to reverse, and the lock the wheels you can get a nice power slide going. YES. I know I've spent way too much time on this. :D

Let me know how those steering mods turn out!

if the terd was fast enough, you could just put some titanium on the back of it... but.. it's not.

Mine never worked right, I think the battery was junked. It would make the motor sound, but then the headlights and taillights would flash. I put the battery on the charger, and in about 15 minutes it smelled like it was burning, so I took it off.

Anyone ever do anything to theirs?

I put a 1/6 Scale 350 into mine and it's kinda sitting. Just bought a '36 ford off craigslist yesterday for 20 bucks... Super hard to find now that they're 2 years old...

These have been sold out for some time now. Ebay has them once in a blue moon under West Coast Choppers or Jesse James when you do a search. I have both the '54 and the '36 and drive the shit out of them both. The only problem that I have in the 'hood is that all the other9-10 yr olds want a turn at it and we get into a fight!!!!!!!!!! KNUX!

Yea, they haven't been for sale at wal-mart in almost 2 years.

Just wanted to revive the old topic, to see if anyone had done anything with theirs lately....

70? for shipping? Where is this on ebay so I can send him my piece of mind. What an a-hole! I got my '36 off of ebay from a guy in NY and it only costs 20.00 to ship to L.A. KNUX!

I found one. Don't bid on it! they've been hard(for me) to find, and I have a decent collection of 53-54 cars going, so I need this!

I just paid someone 25 dollars to send a '36 from the middle of no-where-nova scotia to me.

70 bucks is a rip off!

I have one and I wouldn't pay that much for shipping knowing you are being f-ed! 4 days left and no bids? Go for it! I would wait to get a better deal, just saying that you are being ripped off with the shipping, that's all. Looking out for ya. KNUX!
