Happened to be out today with the camera, and look what I found behind a run down kinda building here in Downtown Campbell.... No details, nobody about, and this was shot over a 6 foot high fence.... Pretty cool, Huh?
I say we go get that thing...it looks damn solid and I'll do whatever you need to help get it outta there. All I ask in return is that I take that shell of a Ford that's in the way. Bryan
I ***ume you're referring to that excellent forklift front weight plate - awesome condition...and think of the possibilities "you know I been through it when I set my watch back to it..." dj
Reminds me of when my dad used to take me to the hardtop races at the 99 speedway in Stockton Calif. ...mid fifties.
Hell no...its got 'something' as it is... I know, couldn't believe it!! Yeah...right!! Use it to prop the gate open! Hmmm...maybe!! Would be way cool!
We'll get that 8N running and aired up, pull that racer up and out, block the gate with the weight and be out of there with 2 old fords. We got one of those old 8Ns here and you can't kill it. Courtland rebuilt it when he was 10-11. Get a back blade and we could work up the lawn into a nice track for that old ford to race again on!
stuff like that never seems to be for sale...there's always someone who's "gonna fix it up someday".. someday never happens... try not to get shot when you're going over 'da fence...
Yeah, but sometimes by being friendly and talking them into letting you write down your phone number pays off. There's a million factors that make people want to sell their cars, and the owner could encounter one of them tomorrow. Many times "not for sale" means they don't want to h***le with the flakes that an adverti*****t brings out of the woodwork. When selling day comes, hope they got your number.
I would listen to shifty. Make sure they have your phone number. Never know when it might become for sale. I stopped at a local rummage sale here a few years ago because I knew the guy had a bullet nose studebaker in the backyard. I asked about it and the old guy said he'll never sell it. He brought it brand new. He seemed real serious about it so I left it go. Fast forward two years, I stopped over by my buddy's house to see this new project he picked up. Yep turned out to be this same studebaker. He said he left a note on the door with his number and what he wanted. two months went by and he gets a phone call and they guy gave it to him for free. I also wonder what is under the tarp on the left side of picture? Steve
Reminds me of the 61 vette I saw in T.J. Mexico behind a fence from the bus window this summer on Vacation!
