what can i expect a nearly '56 dodge 315 V8 hardtop with a 2spd push****on ****** to get for fuel mileage? i know, old cars arent built for fuel economy, but i was just curious; cause i plan to do alot of cruising with it and i wanted to know, before i got the car what i was in for. i was reading on a mopar site earlier and they said that it should get around 20mpg highway and 14-16mpg city. what do you guys think? thanks ncg
hey thanks, gr8ballsofir. not bad for nearly 2-tons. got any pics of your desoto? dont see too many of these cars, anywhere. forgot to say that this one has a 2-barrel on her. i've been reading up a little bit on this motor and it seems theres conflicting info on wether the motor is a hemi or a poly. this car is a '56 royal laner. if that helps. thanks ncg
Hemi and Poly very, very different. One glance should tell you. Hemi has sparky plug wire thingies coming out of valve cover dealie. I'll bet the other side says "Royal Lancer" Cosmo thanks ncg[/quote]
yeah, i ment royal lancer. not royal laner ! george- good to know about the ****** adapter. might look into that. gr8balls- nice desoto
