I need your help. I have purchased a car from a fellow hamber that came with no do***entation. It's handmade and ***led in Edison NJ in 1972 and I'm unable to find out anything about it's history. All I have is a signed ***le and have received no response from the previous owner. I have attached pictures. It's a roadster body built on a shortened 63 galaxie frame.
This is not a kit car, it is a one of a kind, steel body car, built by an unknown master craftsman fabricator.
If you have seen it, or know of it's origins please contact me.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

  5. Damn buddy my **** hurts for ya.

I've seen pictures of the car, I don't know what it was made from or what its got for a drivetrain, but when I was comming up we called those abortions later they were named excalibers. You needs a big floppy hat and some gold teeth.

  6. Ouch, so many comments going through my head.

Looks like it was made from a jeep cowl, windshield and half doors. Cant seem to place anything else.

The tailend looks very much like an Austin Healey 3000 after a hailstorm.

It was, according to the first post, made in N.J.....In the 70's!

As I have always maintained...All those "Florida Rods" are from other states, and always seem to "find" there way down here.

THIS one was built here though...

It needs an make over....yes....but it wouldn't look half bad as an Caterham (google image it) track type-ish vehicle.

The brown, roof, fenders....all the "Gazelle" stuff needs to go though.

Yeah the yellow car belongs to my father in law. He bought it from a Texan. Hey what can ya say we do tend to get some ugly **** here but I've seen a lot of **** come from other parts. The 34 is ugly but a very well built car. It was bought on that not how pretty it is.

Yeah...I think this would totally be the route to go on this one, maybe a little more track-car than Euro-Sports thing.

    I wish...

Mine was made by torching a 55 gal drum in half...

I see a distinct family resemblence to that roadster...

Forgot to mention, these cars were made from about '57 or so until '72 as the "Lotus Seven", then later changed over to becoming the "Caterham Super Seven".

This...err..."Brown *******" could turn out as an somewhat tasteful combination of the older 50's Sport/Track car, and an later, little more Race/Track version.

Might take some imagination though...that IFS might be hard to clean up.

I think....its the brown, fenders, roof, running boards, and grill shell that mostly make it look rough.

You need to glue some corn kernals on that. It'd still look ****ty, but it'd be traditional ****ty.
