Thought you guys would like to know that we are adding some header flanges and a set of intake flanges to our growing list. 394 Olds Rocket 322 Buick Nailhead 348-409 GM "W" motor 346 Cadillac Flathead The flathead Caddy ones are ready to be sawn apart or we can do that for you. And intake flanges for 346 Cadillac flathead in either .375" steel or .375" aluminum. Both have the heat riser blocked off.
It's great to see more parts available for the Caddy Flathead,Thanks i'll pass along the info to my nephew(youngrodder1929)for his project.
We'll have more oddballs too. Like the Kaiser 161 Supersonic 6, Packard V8 and I8, Buick I8, and we already have Studebaker V8.
Just in offering the header flanges you make the use of different motors possible in a rod. Thanks for posting this stuff!
Kevin, any chance to have 292 inline 6 flange ? I will make my own headers, it would be great to find them instead of make it from scratch...
Do you need anything for a request - like a stock manifold, gasket, or head for a pattern? Is there a set price range for custom requests or is it strictly based on hourly rate?
We're going to do the Buick I8, just havn't gotten to it yet. Something really oddball Mike would be based on the time to lay it out and cut it. What did you have in mind?
I believe its just a 1 1/2 inch hole with like a 1/2 flange. Each port is seperated by the intake ports.
AMC 196 OHV for my Rambler. I'm sure it'll be a HUGE seller for you... That stock manifold isn't really gonna cut it and I want to slit the exhaust too.
We just did the Kaiser 161 Supersonic 6 Mike, see if the AMC flange is the same. If not, we could make it up for you.
I'm pretty sure they're different.I can supply a head if that would help. BTW, roughly how much does a flange cost with the layout time involved? I know there's variables but what's a ball park range?
Probably around $80.00. It all depends on how long it takes to program it. I'll do one if you want Mike. Just let me know.
We have those instock now. Just need to know: a) flanges only, b) flange package (gaskets, flanges, bolts) and/or c) stubs welded in. You can paypal to websales@hotrodchassisandcycle.com or send us a check. Shipping is about $12.00. Flanges only $65.00 Flange Package $92.95 Stubs welded in $20.00
I could get them cut out of stainless, but with the cost, and if you get them ceramic coated anyway, mild is the way to go. Overall cost is less, and the ceramic is non-corosive (re: no rust) anyway.
Stainless CAN rust, depending on the grade. I had some made of I believe 304 that had surface rust on them. They came from SLP, and there was a sticker under the hood, when I got the car. I didn't know they were stainless until I called to price new ones.
There are three basic types of stainless. Only one is truely non-corosive. And it's wickedly expensive. The other two have semi-non-corosive properties, but yes, will eventually rust. Most of the "stainless" aftermarket exhausts are of the lesser two. You pay more than mild steel, and they stay nice for awhile. I think just long enough for people to believe they have a stainless exhaust for the extra cash they just let go of.
