I had a 13B for my Morris pickup - sold that combo to some HAMBers in the Dakotas. I always thought a road race style 100E would make a great daily driver (we have lots of twisty roads around here). So many ways to go...Just follow your heart and you can't lose! Okay, enough bench racin' - I gotta panic - the shop awaits.....

Wow, thanks Tom! This is exactly what we were hoping to find - someone who knows the area well enough to keep us out of trouble (somewhat). It would just be good to have someone to ask "where should we go for a decent deal on a '61 Morris air conditioning dryer valve", etc. Would you mind PMing me your contact info? I promise not to abuse it.
    Thanks again,
    Scotty

PS: Your shirt is free Tom - that's how this deal works. What's your size?

That Morris looks mean man, I love it! I had a 59' MM Traveller (woody wagon for those not hip to em') set up SCCA vintage road racer. That lil' ****er would scoot, I imagine yours is downright scary. Good luck!!

Ha! It's given me a couple scares over the years, but mostly it just keeps me grinnin'. Thanks for the support, Degreaser.

Okay, I GOTTA get out in that shop. Will check back here in a bit,
    Scotty

    Scotty,

As a Minor man of old put me down for a shirt in Large.

I had a traveler and a very early split window both running Fiat twin cams and 5 speeds. Real sleepers as from the outside the cars looked stock, right down to the real ale stickers and 'keep music live'

Good luck with the thrash looking forward to the next update.

    P.

Thanks Paul! Man, we're gettin' support all the way from Australia and now the Mother Country! Too much...this is pretty overwhelming, guys...

We'll put you down for one Large shirt. And hey, all you guys who "ordered" shirts - be on the lookout for the new thread, next week. We'll deal with the shipping and money stuff then.

Not much HAMB time these days - too bad, 'cause this is fun stuff. Keep 'em coming, kids!

Daveyboy & VWhabit - Thanks guys! Well, thanks to Daveyboy anyway (somethin' about VWhabit just strikes me as su****ious - can't put my finger on it, but...). I guess we can all relate to the livin' a dream thing. I'll go out there and do my best for you guys...

Hey, anyone remember the old rule of thumb for corrected al***ude tuning - isn't it something like: jet down one size for every 1000' increase in elevation? Bonneville's 4000' in the air and usually has a corrected al***ude of 5-7000'! I live at 1200', so some tuning will be in order and I'd like to have some idea of what to do before I get there, so I don't waste too much time. I know there are LSR boards for this, but I happen to be on here right now and I know some of you guys run at B-ville...
    Thanks,
    Scotty

Too late, T-Cup. By now, everyone knows about us - we're all "out" - way out, baby!

So how've you been, T-bag? Keep in touch a little more, okay? And hey T-bolt, Pssst - wanna buy a shirt? They're really good ones! C'mon, you know you want one. Just think how good it'll feel to slide into it, fresh outa the dryer. Oh man, now I gotta go put mine on...

Hey Flat Ernie - thanks for posting the link to part 1! We've got you down for an XL shirt, too (thanks for the support).

    Update:

Spent the weekend welding in sheetmetal, under the car. I can't believe how crude my workmanship was 22 years ago, when I first built this crate. I'm certainly no expert now, but at least it's an improvement. Should have the sheetmetal under control by next weekend, then it's back on track: freshen trans, re-wire car, freshen brakes, finish new fuel system, fab anti-roll bar (you can see why I need it in the pix), then the engine should be back from the machine shop and ready to ***emble. Can't wait to test all the new stuff on the car - should work a lot better on the street and the track...

Rocky? Holy **** - I forgot all about Rocky! Whatever happened to him???

And yeah, we wondered if VW was adopted, until we noticed the mangled "shop fingers" distracting from his otherwise formal appearance (hard to find bandaids that match your suits, brother?). heh heh heh...

Yeah, I wear a "monkey suit"...but still make the bosses cry when I show up in my primered chop top with flames and park it next to their big 4x4 that never go off road! I love it!

Yeah, you definitely have the baddest ride in the parking lot. Don't look now Bro, but your boss is walking up behind you - quick, click on the parts inventory page! Get off the HAMB! Abort! Abort! (heh heh heh...I just love messin' with the kid).

Okay, we're gettin' it all figured out now and should have a new thread running on here in the next 48 hours (probably less than that), telling you how to get your shirts! This is so cool - you guys are the greatest. Thanks for restoring my faith in gr***roots hot rodding (I was starting to get a bit cynical)! In this case, it really does "take a village" and I'm so grateful that I live in the right one. Thanks again, one and all.

Allright Bob - you're all signed up for an XL (short for excellent, right?). We're obedient, if nothing else...
