one of these days... I'll hit the Roundup. I love Austin to begin with... but add this crowd and their cars... its perfection.

The signs still kill me... "Sorry We're Open" "home slice Pizza"

This thread was like being there... but without all of those annoying crossdressing homeless people. :D

It's like I was there, but without the sunburn and sore feet.

Denise, you truly are the 1st Lady of Hot Rodding and Ambassador of the HAMB or Hambassador if I may be so bold.

I have no choice but go to the Round-Up 2008

I can only echo everybody else with great post, great coverage

Another great job hot rod lady! Seems like the cars look even better in the rain, or maybe it's just my dark side coming out. Thanks for sharing. Does anybody have an BW photos?

Thanks a bunch for all the great pictures and commentary. I thought about you guys a lot over the weekend while I was 'working' at the three ring circus in West Palm. Fat Lucky's interiors are so unbelievable. After seeing all of the pics I so now understand why people drive hundreds if not thousands of miles to get their cars done there.
From the looks of it the hot rod gods were smiling on Austin.
Thanks again for the pics, see ya soon? : ) CGR

The '55 belongs to Dr. Dan, one of the owners of ASS. He's Skullcracker, here on the HAMB.

From the looks of what I saw last week, the car should be finished real, real soon.

  18. Awesome coverage as usual! Not to take anything away from everyone else's pics, but your coverage allways makes me feel like I was there hangin out with you. Thanks alot. Hope I can make it next year.
Its a good thing you did'nt spend too much time with the Sock Fuckers...you would never be the same again!

Wow! What a great post and e-travelogue! Great pics and writeup. I like that you identify all the HAMBers by name....over time, these will be the hot rod photo archives of the future.

Thanks Denise, not only for the cookies and hugs, but the way you get things goin'. Seems there is always a crowd around ya, kinda like a rock-star. Hell, everyone looks forward to seein' ya. If the crowds get too big, I know a couple of 'big' guys you could hire as bodygaurds. hehehehe

I've been looking at your photobucket pics since Tuesday, but I didn't know who was who, or what was what, until you made your post.
