See if you can go by yourself. Sometime owners are scared by groups.

On the off chance that he's got two Y-block 4 barrel manifolds ... I could really use the other one.

The '57+ style looks like this:

At this point all I can do is wait to hear from him. He is supposed to call me tonight or tomorrow. I already told him I would come by myself if necassary and promised not to tell anyone where it is located. I didn't tell him I posted this on the internet, I just told him I showed the photos to a few friends and that they would be interested in some of the parts. I'm a little anxious. I've got the van packed with tools, a chain saw, cutting torches, come-a-long, pry bars, etc. I'm waiting for the phone call.

Well I haven't been able to get into this place yet but he did pull some parts I asked for and I was able to buy them. He just sent me about 50 more pics. I'm gonna put a link to a photobucket of all the new pics. If there is something interesting let me know & I'll do what I can to get the part...What kind of car is this convert?

Seeing that ford convertible and the 48 pontiac convertible in front of it is way sad. I'm interested in that 48 poncho convertible Can you get me some more pics of and some sort of description especially about the bottom of the car. Thanks Dave

Sad to see so much stuff in such bad condition.
I'll take the 2 door 49-51 Mercury in there.

Dave, I'll see what I can do. All I know is it was in an out building on this property and the building has fallen down on it. It looks like it has been in the elements for a long time. I would think the bottom of the car is pretty much gone. I'll see if he will get me some more pics.

If anyone is interested in anything please go to the photobucket and tell me what part and what number photo it is in. That is the only way I can get this guy to get any parts. If I tell him I want taillights from a 1950 Merc he is not gonna know what I'm talking about. I need to tell him something like "look for the taillights on the blue car in photo number 1."

Which one? It looks like there are several Pontiacs. What is the photo number? I know there is a steering wheel in the convert because it is in one of the pics. There are also several other Pontiacs in the first batch of pics I listed on page one of this post.

I'd be willing to give a few 'essential' body parts for that slope back Caddy, but then the wife would take a few more for bringing home more iron.

Thats a 52 pontiac 51 had a small back window and the 52 had the window in the pic then a 53 had the big back window. It also has the spot on the quarter panel behind the gas door where the round indian head medallion goes. LTR Dave:D

If you can look around, I'm looking for a set of '49-'52 Rocket rocker (Valve) covers with the ignition wire covers. It looks like there are some mid-50s Olds there. I don't know where this stands now. If there is someone who can check, I'm interested. Thanks, Dave

Dave, I posted this yesterday. I am not able to get into the place to look around myself. I am working off of the photos this guy sends me.

Yea...you guys are right it is a 52 pontiac Catalina. I missed the rear fender coming out. Those are the top of the line cars back then.
They are cool looking cars and would make a great custom.
Man the chrome on those would kill your pocketbook. I bet the stuff attached to this thing is worth more than the whole car.
    Lucky,
I'm going to pass on this one and wait for the 34 in the barn. :)

Heres a few pics of 51's and 52's

How about a hood to letter the rules for a car show on? Pontiac hood maybe? Also I want 54 Chevy grille, bumpers, or 56 rear bumper.

i need the horn ring and plastic center for a 1952 pontiac, or just an entire pontiac steering wheel.(my 52 isnt complete) ill take any 49-54 pontiac wheel, i got a few extra centers(that dont fit my 52 wheel)

the wheel is flat, and has 3 ribs two going out to the sides, and one going down. the center should have an indian in it and have 3 little chrome notches around the plastic.

    heres daves-
    [IMG]

i also need the entire dash door to door out of any 46-58 car(not chrystler if its pre 54)
maybe i can just make this road trip... that 52 dash would rock though!

The '56 Ford convert and the '48ish Pontiac convert should be salvaged whole. Both of those cars could be rebuilt using a coupe donor body.

Some other goodies out there too. Does this guy have a digital camera and a computer, or did he take film pictures and mail them to you? How did that work?
