    Hi all,

Here are some photos of that wild "Freakshow" truck that someone asked about... This thing had a mob around it all day yesterday (Easter) at the big show in St. Louis, so I finally gave up on trying to get a clean photo with just the truck, and no people in the way... But, it did give me an opportunity to just focus on close ups on some of the details, and there are many worth noting... I have seen this several times over the years, and this truck just continues to evolve. I believe it started out as a Chevy, and it looks like she's wearing '61 (or maybe '62) Chrysler sheet metal up front with a '59 Imperial bumper in the rear, along with the toilet seat trunk lid, which is presumably off the same year Imperial... Anyway, here are some pics.

i dont see anything chevy but the dash (if thats what it is). the rest looks like a cutback 61 chrysler 4 door post made into a half-***ed truck. crying shame too. those cars had the best dash detroit ever made in my opinion.

I've been told that it actually was a Chevy at one time. I think the roof, and maybe part of the doors, are about the only thing still left from the original truck... Surely someone out there knows the story on this one(?)

That thing needs a hood, the truck and engine totally clash.

I wonder if the skull beer tap in the cabin counts as an "open container"?

That thing is a freakshow incarnate.
A perfect personification of excess in excess.
I might have liked it when I was 8 years old but these days it makes me wanna powerpuke every time I see it.

If Roth had built it 40yrs ago, you guys would be creaming yourselves.

When I first saw it, I thought it was just going to be slammed together for a few pictures and collect dust in the corner of a garage. Bodywork looked like hell, no plug wires, duct tape, that kinda thing. I really like seeing it finished out.

It's funny as ****. Especially since it's pink and pisses people off. The pink phone is icing on the cake.

At first I didn't like it. But now that I know Plowboy and Nads like it, I like it too.

There's a friend of mine rides a pink bike in town, it has the coolest 70s inspired pink and silver pearl pain job, nobody gets it, I think it's bad*** and he is too.
I had a pink Ford Consul Capri back in the early 80s.

  22. even bad taste is better than no taste.....I ****ing love it......needs more flake though!! and the fur head liner is just wrong...

  23. We need a poll so I can decide if it's OK to like it or not.:D
Seriously, from the old photos I've seen, a lot of old show cars were very extreme. Most were black and white, so I don't know about the pink, but I'm sure there were at least a few...

Looks like a Teenage Lesbian Commando's Dream Truck with that pink rifle in the window, the skull liquid refreshment dispenser, pink Princess phone and that cartoon-style Hot Wheels engine sticking through the not-a-hood.
Delete those oddities, add a hood and you've got a fabulous custom anybody's wife would be proud to own.

telephones were quite common in sixties customs, along with angel hair and just general, over the top, re-dic-u-less-ness...

  26. No surprise there sir.

Some of us want this creation to round up into a "serious" custom. Loose the cartoon **** and there you are. The "artiste" should stop playing it off as a joke.

This thing is impossible to ignore. Is the workmanship underneath any good?
