I was going to say that, you beat me to it!

What would you do to it????

    SELL IT TO ME!

  3. Make it a tail drager, add a continental kit, Lancers, and lakes. If the wheel trim on the rear wheel openings wasnt so sweet i would go cruiser skirts also. That is one sweet ride.

I told him to drive it for a year and enjoy it, Check out other Customs to get some ideas, then decide what to do.

The car is real clean, but like I said, it needs paint. An engine detail would be a good place for him to start, then some bolt on accessories (typical lakers, spots, etc.). I do know that Coker radials are going to be ordered (and I get the Bias-plys for the Roadster...HAHA!!!)

I have a feeling that the "Custom Bug" is going to hit him hard!!

  5. you need to buy it from your friend before he does something to it that you told him to do..

i have seen skirts for a queen like this
maybe one 's for a 55-56 chev will work
    lower it
    add engine dress up chrome
    multi carbs
    duals
    ripple -lancer wheel covers
smaller dia. steering wheel(factory cut down)

    no big stereo
    no striping
    no body mod
    no mags

    hard to photshop doin nothing

    That makes me sad.

  7. Since you're saying the tan needs to be resprayed anyway, I'd lose the streaks on the hood. They remind me of suspenders. Lose the hood ornament, too. Drop it, get some SIMPLE lakes pipes, not those triple-output plugged ones. And, for some reason, I see this thing with a set of chrome steel slots with double or triple whitewalls on it. Kinda early-60s style.
Nothing that can't be changed back to stock very easily.

  8. If I may ask.....What did he give for it?

Its nice as it is now. Just some minor changes and call it a day.

  10. Would it be a crime to do a 50s car that DIDN'T look like it had three dead fat girls in the trunk? How about an EVEN front and rear drop for a change? And I agree, lowering is ALL it needs!

If the paint is really as nice as it looks in the photo then, like everyone's said. Change the hub caps, drop it and drive it.

That car is outstanding just the way it is. Anything you do would only take away from it, not add to it.

  17. Put a cooler full of beer in the trunk and go to a drive-in movie.

i gotta agree with rich what is with the i am a bricklayer bringing 1000 pounds of brick to a jobsite look with the rear end hanging down to the gound so much does that not make your ride and handling goto shit

  19. Leave it like it is, except maybe lower it 3-4" all around. Nice looking car and not something you see very often in nice restored shape like that! It'd be a shame to mess it up.

Maybe put some straight pipes or very tiny glasspacks so it'll sound cool.

lower it, change the hubcaps (or put on some different wheels rather than hubcaps) dual exhaust with smittys, and drive the piss out of it.

Drive it to SW Detroit, don't leave the keys in it just leave it unlocked...and walk away.

It will wind up stripped and burned in a matter of minutes. Then your buddy can collect on the insurance policy and get MORE money for it than he paid for it!

Otherwise, it's perfect. Leave perfection alone. Too nice to mess with, IMO. Drive it as is...
