I'm too jealous. I love mixing the Riviera design elements with your Cad. I want to see it when it's done! And I like the bumper treatment.

My 1950 with 53 dash. Just went thru the brakes and started replacing the exhaust. Installed electric choke, works great. Transmission (4th gear) went out several weeks ago so looking at options to repair/replace/upgrade. Anyone have any suggestions on shops or upgrade options (adapter kits)?
My 1953 Coupe.... Suspension finished, but without MOTOR!!! Already low: And that's all the 'teaser' shots...untill she's finished in 2 weeks. Engine pictures from today:
I like the valve covers, Did they make stock ones with the script stamped in them for the 425,472,500's?
I dont think so, you'll probally have to find a pair of 49-65? and cut them up and weld them in to your existing covers!
I think 1956 or 57 was the last year for scripted valve covers, so they are only for the 331/365/390 family. The gold is supposed to represent the gold of the Eldorado's, but without a reference point, I beleive it's pretty close. Charles
You can get adapters to retro the old script covers to the 500. Check over @ www.cadillacpower.com Al
Got a '71 Superior hearse on the road and a '55 Mercury with a Caddy 500 on the road also. Have 4 Cadillac projects on the slate but it's going to be a couple months before I can back on one of them. I'll have to spinthe wheel of projects to decide which one is first. 1933 Pontiac 2dr sdn with 500 Caddy 1949 Cadillac 61 series more door 1951 Cadillac 62 series more door 1966 deVille hard top more door 1966 Coupe deVille The '49 runs and drives and the body is rock solid. Might just have to forget spinning the wheel and do this one. I want to drop it, chop it and make it a 2 door. Maybe a Carson top? Custom grille, french the headlights. Yeah, I really want to get on this one.

Thanks for the link for the adapters, I might want them for this Truck. My father is not doing this Caddy motor justice and is giving the whole thing to me. I will clean it up propper and Be crusing this thing by the end of the year. As long as the move goes good and I don't get deployed any time soon again. It's a 472 out of a early 70's Caddy that got T-boned with 76,000 miles on it.
Yeah, I have a Cadillac fetish. Mostly '72 and older Actually I'm east of Brooksville, about 4 miles west of I-75. Spring Hill is about 15 to 20 minutes west of me. We have a cruise-in every Thursday night up here in Spring Hill. Draws 200 cars every week, and up to 300 cars sometimes. The Thursday gathering is about 2 miles west of the Sun Coast Expressway on SR50 (Cortez Blvd) at the Chic Filet. There's a group of HAMBers there usually and the new Tampa chapter of the Poor Boys CC. If you are ever interested in coming up to the Thursday gathering get with me and I can let you know who and what to look for. We have been also starting HAMB meet and greets. We post them on here. Usually under a title that will have "Florida west coast HAMBers" in it. I think another one was "Day of the Ted".
Well I couldn't pass up a caddy thread. I bought my 55 Cad off of the "auction site" about a year ago. Drove it for a while and then decided to rebuild the motor. Finally seems to be falling into place now, I should be getting the block back this week and I am finishing up some of the cleaning and restoration of the rest of the parts soon. Currently she is powered by cheesy white dude. Stupid pic I know. Check out the heads after they were redone!!
