,,he was corky coker and he told me if i ever needed anything to let him know,,a few months later i got ahold of him,he remebered me ,and he hooked me up!

,,now that is a man,....,i worked at a local auto dealership for 3 years as the parts manager and when i saw the owner at the airport towards the end of those three years he recognized me after i said hello, but he had trouble introducing me to his wife because he didnt know my name!

    Mr Groucho

    Let me explain in detail.
    April 17
Called Coker Tire to order tires and wheels.
They took all of my info said everything was in stock
and would E-mail me with my order number.
Should have tires by April 23 or 24.
    April 20
No E-mail, No phone call, No order number.
So I called. They said they did not know why
but the order was not shipped out.
Verified all the info everything was good.
Got order number said it would ship out
Should get them April 26 or 27.
They said order would not be billed until they ship the tires and wheels.
    April 26
Checked credit card no bill from Coker Tire
Called - they said they did not now why but order still not shipped. Said they would ship out.
Should get tires middle of next week.
    April 28
Checked credit card bill no bill from Coker Tire!

So if I do not have a bitch what do I have.

Makes it easy to read, thanks..

  5. Have you sent Corky Coker a PM as has been suggested several times on this thread?

Or are you just gonna get your panties in a wad over a very minor problem?

I dont want to get involved over the argument of weather or not Coker is a fair and honest business (I personally know them to have been excellent when I have purchased tires from them), but, I dont think if its fair to keep calling this guy a "cry baby". There are plenty of times a lesser known or smaller company comes up, gets shit talked, and there isn't such a big reaction. I know that Coker is well liked by many, including myself, but just because a vast majority likes them, doesn't make it OK to make this guy feel like a POS because he is publicly expressing his problem with a company that you like. No business is so high and mighty that they are invincible.

And for those that support the claim "well you havnt been charged for them, so whats the issue", well thats just plain unfair. If YOU wanted an item for your car, and were getting the run-around from the supplier, it doesn't matter if they charged your card or not. They gave you their word they would get the product to you, so you could use it, and if they dont deliver, its at minimum a disappointment.

Some are acting as if they think this guy is just out to sabotage Coker. Maybe he is, but I dont get that impression from his posts.

  7. Coker had a spot setup at Canfield,Oh swapmeet. I walked up, told them what I wanted, he went into the trailer and got them. Then I paid and became a happy boy with my new tires all in about 12 minutes.
The two guys were very helpful and was a smooth transaction.

I dont think he's a whiner, but he also shouldnt be bad mouthing a supporting vendor on this board either.

I currenlty have a client who is a tire manufacturer and have worked for 3 others in the past & you have to know that you just dont go out back and make a few tires. They are made in batches, with production lead times and some times this takes much longer than anyone would like, but to get a quality product you have to make sure all your ducks are in a row.

Also most times the sales people dont know what is going on with the production, since it is not their job to. so when they say "I dont know" they actually mean it.

Coker is not Michelin, they are a small company who have real world issues and it sounds like you just may be in the middle of one of them.

I say is give them a chance to make it good and do it in private.

  10. Corky's last activity was on the 20th, so he probably hasn't seen this yet. I'm pretty sure when he gets wind of this it'll be fixed but fast.

Sounds to me his order was messed up... It happens. If I were primedia, I would delete this thread. :)

That said, I'm not sure what the point of this post is. Energy would be better spent contacting Coker.

that was for a full set of tires and wheels, sans wheels it still would have been 350$ for shipping, however my buddy has a US mailing address about 7-8 hours away from here and it says it will cost about 200$ for tires and wheels so we may go that route

unfortunately I don't believe we do make that here, probably just somebodies last name, what we do make here is Begbie Ale and their beer is pretty good :D

  20. Jesus.....why won't this thread go away..........

  21. Okay, got that font thing toned down a little...
Yeah, sounds like a clusterfuck. I guess I'd be annoyed too. Probably not raving pissed off - just annoyed.

Now, just 'cause I haven't been flamed in a while: WTF does it matter if the guy is an Alliance Member? An asshole could buy a membership as well as a cool guy. Hell, I'll bet even I could get one. Being an Alliance Member could simply be the best $50 the guy spent on advertising all year.

What does make me think that Coker Tire is probably an good place is all the people who have piped up and said that Coker treated 'em right, and the absence of people who're claiming to have been fucked by said company. Can't buy that kind of feedback for fifty bucks.

Betcha' if you keep a cool head, talk to a manager who's in a position to straighten this out, they'll probably treat ya' real good.

So you think an Alliance Vendor only ponies up 50 bucks, just like an Allliance Member?

    Yer kidding, right?[IMG]

Waiting 9 days for tires is not worth getting stressed over, never shoulda brought this drivel here in the first place.

I'd sure be pissed if I owned a business with a good product and reputation and some impatient customer thought that going on the 'net and trashing me would do any good for either of us.

  23. Mean Dean, I guess your name says it all, your mean. Blasting a class act like Corky Cokers tire and wheel company is not cool. This company is a class act and will resolve any issues you have, to post negative information on a world wide forum is not good business. This post in my opinion should be deleted, and if you follow the suggestions already uttered here, your situation will be taken care of. As my Mom would say, straighten up and fly right!!-Sololobo

You have a case of American "Iwantitrightnowbaha" disease. This disease is generally brought on by dotying parents who could never say no and give the youngsters anything they want within a split second of them asking for it.

BTW: You never answered my question. Did you have them mount and balance them? That would explain why it takes longer.
