after looking at the ardun motor, it looks to be the one SoCal Phoenix had sitting in their show room a few months back. If I remember right they found it at a trailer park on the east side of town. there was a shot of it in one of the street rod mags a while back. They also told me it went to the east coast when it sold.

You would think that a car like that would be known, wouldn't ya?

Who knows though... I know of a couple of guys that build insane shit and never let anyone see it.

    Very cool car.

That fellow did exactly what needed to be done to make what we have been trying to achieve with the stock (non hotrod) cars.
Cool as hell. Not crazy about the two tone.
Glad i dont own it. I'd have to change the paint after two years and you guys would hate me. :)

  12. That's a nice car but it needs a hood top and stock headlights.

I've not seen a car yet, running E&J's, that I liked.

I don't know for sure, but didn't the original Ardun Heads just say "ARDUN" on them? I got a quic, though close look at these heads and they said "ARDUN" with "NEW YORK" cast in smaller caps underneath. I think they are repops. They looked old-ish, but the seals, etc. around the plugs looked to be brand spanking new.

Like I said, I don't know for sure...

Sweet car anyway - over by the Police office near the car show area a guy had a set of E&J lights for sale - good condition, too. I didn't ask how much because I know he has them every year...too much.

i am totally and utterly baffled by this entire thread. Everytime someone posts something that is not traditionally built they get the shit flamed out of them and most times an argument starts and 6 pages later shit talking is still going on.

Now someone posts a picture of a totally bad ass 100% traditionally styled hot rod and you guys go oh well I think its fake and I would change this and i would change that.

I love that car I think its beautiful the way it is, and even if it is not really a barn find what difference does it make. Not a barn find, then its a really well built traditional hot rod, that even the "experts" cant tell if its a survivor or not.

ps. i dont like the head lights either :D :D :D
    pps dont hurt me

I still don't understand how a car with all that candy just sat somewhere in a barn. Would love to know the story, after all that's what gives the old tin it's character.

Also, I like the E&J's on there, it makes it even more unique, but I'm kinda odd that way.

Cool car . . . but those tyres are a bit bright!

And I have to agree with the nay-sayers on the E&J's. They look great on a track-nosed Roadster - probably any fenderless early Ford, for that matter.

I like the fact that it's a 6 Strommie manifold, with blockoff plates! Can you imagine a flattie with 6 Carbs?

That is the stock Ardun ONE carb manifold. Is missing the crossover/carb mount, and has additional mounts added for the four carbs on it now.

My Dad's Ardun came with that exact modification. But Dad isn't using his stockers, he's gonna use a new Austin 3-2.

Glad somebody was able to push enough gawkers out of the way to get a better picture of the engine...LOL

Seriously, with all the fancy shiny incredibly expensively built cars on the field...I think this one had the most people REALLY looking it over.

All my ARDUN stuff is long gone, but I still have all the sales literature. This is what the original intake looked like.:)

  28. Wow, I see so many downs being put on the car. Comeon, its a fuckin deuce coupe. Adrun powered at that! Even if yall say the headlights look bad (I love E&Js though) and etc etc, its still a radass lookin hotrod.

Owner is a very well known collector from Connecticut. The majority of the car is originally from Rhode Island?
