Sound like a place I used to go to called Leon's billed as " the walkin man's friend " great guy -unbelievable stash of old steel got alot of parts for my impala there in the mid eighties hope it;s the same place would be good to know it's still there on the west side of 29 lots of old trucks small stream running through the middle of the property my buddy and I would spend all day there when we came down from fairfax va. to find parts MArk Mark
Here's a couple taken a few yeas ago while I was in Hong Kong. One is an old Jeep like wagon taken near the shore. The others were found at the top of a mountain slid slightly over the side. I don't even know how these got up there with no roads.
Here's some from texas.. I was in Stephenville jsut last weekend and I went to see if the shortened roadster was still there, but the lot was completely clean.. probably went to the crusher.

As a child I grew up in London, England through the sixties. At the first school I attended we had a worn out thirties British car parked in the playground for us kids to play in/on. Right next to the swings and climbing frame. Not sure how todays health and safety conscious do-gooder's would view that!
That last pic is enough to make a grown man cry, lucky Im still just a kid at 34 so it was alright for me to cry............. (Well, the other half said I was still a kid)

Actually, I've enjoyed this thread, love vintage tin wherever found and old cars used as rip rap on canals and rivers knida nostalgic ya know before EPA, political correctness definately Corps of Engineers field expedient.

I found this one while digging through some of my mom and dad's old photos. On the back it said: Midnight Meadows, Red River, New Mexico 1985. Wonder if it's still there. And no, my dad didn't bring it home.
