Unless there's something super-ultra-majorly bad in the MRI I'm getting tomorrow, I'll be there...

and I'll volunteer the NIGHTMARES space for the HAMB meet(s) as well. I'll let Denise work out the times...

Me and Lucky77 will be there - with his Tudor - we're hoping. He's been working on the car pretty hard to get it done for Billetproof. Wish him luck!

Come on Scott, we all know it will fire. Do you really need to stop? Is a floor all that necessary? Wear a helmet and skip the glass...

Good luck. Hope to see it there.

  15. Dang Rudy it looks like it should be done by tomorrow afternoon for a nice cruise!

I am trying to get mt 39 Ford done if so I will show. I will be trailering the thing because I will be just finishing it up. I hopethat is not a problem . Oh yeah is there some place to put the trailer or I can just leave it attached to my truck at a hotel and drive the car to the show.

Just drove the 51 to Buckle's house, it's about 1/2 way to Billetproof from my house. Everything felt pretty good, looking forward to the show!

Well, if you can make it TO Buckle's AND home, then you can make it TO Billetproof. Who cares if you get home!

If I make it, It will be my first. I feel like a virgin again. Won't get the car done in time. Seems like I have said that a few time now.

I will be working on two projects my 48 panhead and my 31 a, one of them should make it ,i hope

  21. I am thrashing on the fleetline to get it to billetproof.

It looks like a car again! The front end is all mounted and aligned for the first time in a year. I need to get a new drivers door but this one will be ok for now. The car now has turn signals! They might even work! Along with the speedo! Another first!

I need to run all the brake lines and reinstall the booster, master cylinder, pedals, and prop valve, and finish rewiring the thing. I needed a few more circuits to pass the Ontario safety. I also have to do some quarter panel rust patching. I am still working on installing a radiator that will actually cool the motor. Its hard to make anything fit with the channel job.

And the hardest thing is trying to find the factory parts for the kickdown linkage. Anyone have a carburated 4.3L v6 laying around that they can take the throttle/kickdown bracket off of for me??

  22. Not 100% sure yet, but might be able to pull it off.

I'm late to the dance... any places to stay?

    The closest is probably Flint.

The show is over before 6pm,so driving home
the same day isn't a major problem.

Beater kickin' my teeth in. Nickel and dime crap not done. Should be there....I'll push it if I have to.

  26. Fuel system is now done on the fleetline, and the kickdown setup for the trans is almost done. Rad is still kicking my ass.

Its now just brakes, wiring and a radiator!

Just got an email back from Billetproof world headquarters. I can trailer it down and push or drive it into the show. This is only the second day I've gotten to work on it snce the HAMB thrash. Just ordered another $500 of parts from Speedway last night. So tomorrow I'l work on getting the trailer ready, hasn't moved in 2.5 years so we'll see how that goes. Alright, back to work before Frank yells at me again.:D

Got that email as well for Courtland's truck. His arm is broke and so is my wallet so I won't be doing the Lucky77 gold chainer style and just ordering anything from Speedway! (Just kidding, I read that catalog every day and if my 66 really does go bye bye Saturday, I'll have some shopping cash!)

Probably will just leave it home though and run the Trailblazer. Kind of disappointing but we've still got time for the Makin Junk Run show in Toledo the following weekend with my 54. After that is the Blissfield River Raisin Festival in July which is more realistic for either car at this point.

Rough sketch for the souther leg:

We could meet at Exit 5 off of US 23 then cavort up to Exit 49 on 23 to meet the Jackson/West crowd. From there to M-59 which is like Exit 67. That's a lot of highway driving so we could work around that if anybody wants to go around a different way.

    Times still open. Feedback?

  30. I'm driving back from the west coast. My Michigan house is still UNSOLD.

I'll be at Billetproof as well. Timed my semi-annual trip to coinside. If anyone needs stuff relayed west along I-80 somewhere around June 15-17 as far as Winnmemucka Nv. Let me know via a PM.

Anyone in Michigan want an 1880 farmhouse (all restored) with 5.2 acres two 3 story horse barns a 24'X48' equipment bldg & 3-1/2 car garage? I'm selling it for $360,000. (I've stored as may as 15 cars inside at one time or another)
