I have been busting my butt off on my 51 Buick (with help from some friends of course). The wiring will be finished this weekend. I currently took my drivable car tore it apart and re did all of the braking system so my car finally stops. I had my carb rebuilt. Got new tires ready to mount once I clean up my rims. I have a new gas tank on its way. The 6 to 12 volt upgrade will be finished at the same time my wiring is done. So with my car mechanically and electrical almost done I am stuck with a dilemma. I don't know what color to paint my car. That's where I would like some help from you all. Any suggestions of what color I should paint my car? Can any one photoshop my car a different color? The interior will be redone to match the color of the car when its painted.

Here is the wiring going in. There is lots of room in there with no seats. The interior will be redone to match the color of the car when its painted.

The interior is going to be gone and redone to match the color of the car. I was thinking the same thing a powder blue with a white top but I am still not sure

How about '54 Buick Titian Red....a traditional custom color..dark red with gold mixed in. Find an old paint chart and have it mixed.

Avoid suede or flat black, a car that nice deserves a nice traditonal color.

I'd leave the interior and paint the car silver and grey.

This is awesome. It gives me a good idea

    thanks a bunch.

  16. Here's a quick and crappy Photoshop. I agree it shouldnt be suede or flat colors. This is the car many customs tried to become. I'd even consider a white top. red and white leather tuck 'n' roll interior and even '56 Buick full disc hubs. Hubba, Hubba!

I was gonna go with a baby blue or mint green with mine. But I didnt.

A nice dark red would look great if you know your bodywork is really good.

  19. Here's what I'm trying to explain. This is a '55 and these are the hub caps
I ment. ( this fits My personal tastes, maybe not yours.) Also, I saw a really sick Buick a few years back that was red under the trim with the whit top.
    really gave it attitude.

Its kinda hard to do a two tone to my car. I have all the trim but as you can see in the original Buick sketch of the car the trim doesnt close at the front or back of the car.

What's your favorite color? Rounded, curvy metal shows off any metallic color. 50s GM cars are all about curves. For that reason I prefer single colors but I am a conservative type B personality. Are you a type A or type B? After all, a car is a reflection of who you are not us guys.

I just wanted to get a good idea of different colors. I have been really indecisive about what color to paint it. I like reds and blues and greens. I like the two tone thing with a light top and a darker bottom color.
