Texas,,,Like the old Gassers,got the bug in the early 70's hanging around Paul Vanderley's shop in Biloxi,Mississippi were he had a National Record holding A/MP 64 VETTE....thru out my high school years i had a couple 66 chevyII', 67 Camaro,,46,,,50 chev p/u,,last but not least a 55 Chevy post ,,X-Gasser that moved into the Bracket wars that came along in the 70's known as the "BOOGIE RAT" that race at Green Valley and was built in 68 by a guy named Carroll Burnett of Hurst,TX ,,i found the car in 1990 still wearing it's "war paint" of days gone by...faded but not forgotten..sold (now is the time to kick me.!!! )it in 1995...so close to being let loose again ,but this time on the street.!!!..hence the raised rear wheelwells,,,fiberglass front in,,plexiglass windows etc...why.!!! why!!! why!!! ...oh well ,,the story might have a happy ending have my eye on a a X-GASSER Henry J..that ran against the Boogie rat way back then...Thanks Mitch Pullen

very cool.!!!!...I was still living in Mississippi in those days,,,but alot of guys remember it in the Metroplex .it was also featured in Popular Hot Rodding in SEPT 77..? i believe,,,i used to have that magazine and a bunch of pictures..of it in it's day..most all of it went with the car when i sold it...i still have a few pics of it in 1970 sitting on the trailer going tothe races...and how i found it sitting in the field ..try to post some pic's in future....if anyone finds pictures feel free to post them.....the car is in Keller ,,TX, for sale now,,,double the price for what i sold it for....thanks MITCH PULLEN
