I was just thinking at the beginning of this thread.... I have a friend who lives in El Paso that I KNEW would know the ins and outs of bringing these cars out of Mexico... Maybe I should buy a 3 car wedge and a F-350 with a diesel and we could go into business supplying the masses with old iron back east here. We may just have to talk further about this.... Jan
this Caddy roadster was interesting on the show....totalled and rescued for a frame off resto to a new glory... super rare ,guess a 34 roadster..not so sure now... but 3 existing worldwide, this is 1 of them.....
i know you kustom guys gonna love these....i'm in too!!! a local friend o mine makes these shrunken heads, one by one... he's a cool one,and very skilled too.. are made by resin,in 2 different types....corrugated and plain face type....great mirror hangers... really evil looking indeed.... he sells them,too....but hey,do not wanna sell anything here myself...it's showin time only.
early chevy fans....bel air time!!!here 2 of them partially restored around... these are very common cars in mexico, plenty of em...i like em but never bought one,i see em everywhere i go...so,just thinkin tomorrow, not today... rare cool car in HT style anyway, like them slammed to the ground...

Sled, I believe what I see here is awsume! But believe it that the largest collection of Model A's I have ever seen is in about five private warehouses in Sonora MX. Just north of you. I had the pleasure of a private tour by the owner of these cars. Not only do we Love our old cars but so does everyone else!
oldschool54,glad that you have fun on seeing the crap around here....that's the intention,to make big smiles to all hambers... well, there is 1 thing about A stuff...you must know the mexican soul and way of life to get the general picture about old A stull and 30's cars in general.... because is really old,a CARCACHA...they call them here they over estimate a LOT the real values...so,they're askin insane prices for A stuff... i stopped lookin for them, too expensive for no reason..well,theier sentimental value reason...i understand that!! but yeah, for sure there are a lot of them around...also a guy here in DF has lots of them ...is an A freak... personally i don't fall in love with A,i'm startin with the 32 and up.... but any cheap A is welcome of course.... thanx for the lead in Sonora, good to know...any pix???

MOPAR fans, you're turn ....here a chrysler 58 new yorker HT that i bought recently... Mexico seems to be where the US was in the late 1970s or early '80s. Lots of good stuff waiting to be picked up and restored but not lots of collectors and restorers.
benzine440,there is around some early mopar stuff...most of hemi stuff is gone for a simple reason... too big,too thirsty and no spares....so,is junk for them!!! can tell ya lot of stories of hemi engine crushed, makes me cry ....really!! there are some mopar freaks too.....they have lot of stuff also, but not for sale. personally i love these 50's lines, especially 300's ... i know some of them around... will hunt them anyway, stay tuned....
hi all, here some better pix of the recently sold Imperial 57 monster.. it had the factory Hemi 392 on,running car....really solid one. cannot restore them all,and not my favorite car too...so,it's gone to better hands...
here's another Imperial,a 55 but comes also with a factory 354 Hemi... is in great shape,really...i like very much the blue leather interior worn out style....classy car indeed.. too bad is a more door, can you imagine it in 2D-HT????
this is one of many Buicks convertibles i know around...a 53 in this case with some 54 parts included.... there are also some restorable Roadmasters too...big monsters!!!
That wierdo thing is worth close to $200,000 easily in the hearse collectors market...Holy graverobbers Sled...You need a roommate in Mexico mate??I'll do all the dirty work when finding these cars.. All I want for payment is that 42 Cadillac Hearse you found..
here a private werehouse with at list 20 cars in,totally abandoned...no funds to restore em... so,will be for sale soon.... pictured a Mercury 52 convertible project...needs a lot of work, but just to show what stuff you could find around....not easily indeed... very dangerous place to go this one,not recomended at any time...
hey Rev 13,i know you'll love it down here scarfin in the junk....no,thanx...appeciate your help but can move around alone here... ya know,i'm a lone wolf, always been... not keen to let the 42 caddy go,soooorrryyy be patient, more of those will come up for sure...nobody likes them here....so,they will sell...relax,man....
from the same place a Caddy 51 cab project...waitin for someone to restore it.... this is solid anyway...lots of parts around more to come from this place.....
something unusual here...a Chrysler 46 convertible project...the very first i've seen in my life.... no idea how many they made of those, but i'm sure is kinda rare to find.... well,it's here fellas.....needs some love!!!!
let me close down this place with another cab project...a 51 Chevy... chicanos will love this stuff....there are lots of them around in any conds ... cabs are cool indeed....and is easy to get a cheap coupe to get the best body parts too....fun stuff!!!
