FAN-DAMN-TASTIC...................I miss seein' flake, cobwebs, panels, and all the 50's styles........... GIVE US MORE......
YIKES, now i'm worried. I'm glad i didn't see your post last night, or i wouldn't have slept. Bondo says he's put the doors up and they matched fine. That was a concern of mine as well from the beginning
How 'bout "poison ivy". It just came to me since I'm fighting a BAD case of it right now. You sure know how to build 'em with "the look" Groucho! Glad to hear this one's a keeper. (for a while at least, right? )
Would it be divulging a trade secret to tell us what your base color was that the green was shot on? Love the color.
I had a buddy at a local paint supply mix it to match the jar of the flake. Looked like a Bubble Up can. Lots of pearl. It looked so good, i almost didn't cover it with flake. It really is a good color. The dash, window trim, and firewall are that color without the flake. If you wanted, i could get the formula for you. I'm pretty sure Rick's still got it. I think Bondo cleared the dash last night. If he did, i'll try and get Skratch to stripe it today, and post pics tonight
No, HOK didn't have the lime. I used Ol School Flakes Lime. I'm pretty sure it's their F05. I'll get the mix this morning for you. Maybe you can have a guy mix a small amount for free for you so you can take a look in person. I think you'll love it
Groucho - paint is *****in'!!! Did your painter paint the flake dry (with a flake gun) or wet (in clear)? Also, what size flake is it?
I'm looking at Barry Grant's Old School tripower. They just released a set of triples that are zinc dichromate(?) to have that retro goldish hue, seperate clear/red fuel lines into a chrome log, and single air cleaners. It looks pretty cool on their web page, and should have a bunch more power (50 more HP) than the Rochester 2GC's i've got. A buddy's gone through over 2 grand ****ing with his tripower recently, and has motivated me to seek an easier, more efficient route with this. Plus, i'm an old street racer that hungers for power. So, i'm pretty excited over checking this out. I should have it in 2-3 weeks. I'll post pics and show you guys/girls
Dude, that is the color of my dune buggy, NICE! "Hornito Verde" Be different and make the front lower than the back....you know....like a HOT ROD!
