"Panel Beaters" must be a British, Aussie, Kiwi, Canadian expatriate club since that term has never been used in the States.

  4. Mind if I add to your collection?

    Cool.

There have been quite a few threads about club plaques but I think this is the first that shows them on the rides instead of on a kitchen table.

We got ours delivered by the maker - Bedsled of Bedlsed Kustoms - at Paso, and flipped out on its origininality. Each plaque's background will be painted a color matching the owner's car. Saw Brian's today (pictured, @ Paso), it looks even better polished w/ the backdrop black.

Anyone have a plaque of the Paegans out of San Gabriel Valley, CA? Doin' history work on my late uncle's club.

  15. Here's a recast of my Dad's old club plaque. He lost his original many years ago. All he had was a picture of it (on another club member's car). After going all over trying to get artwork done to recast it, I contacted O'Brien Truckers, and he had all the old patterns from Chicago Metalcraft. He made me a new casting, and I had the auto paint shop across town match the paint color from the photo. I gave it to my Dad for Christmas three years ago. I have a second one that I plan on putting on my jalopy when I finish it. Any original club members on the HAMB?

Lawrence (lgh1157) and I were sitting in my living room talking about body work. when he mention in New Zeland there called Panel Beaters. i told himthat, that would be a cool name for a club. a few days later. we got to seriously talking about it and then the Panel Beaters C.C was born 11 of us now.

Street aces reminds me of the old Bergen Wheelers plaques.

  25. This was my old car club out of Belleville, Ontario in Canada. The club is still going strong, and last summer at their 50th anniversary, all the old members were given a keychain with a small recast of the original club plaque on it.---Brian
