Q! Now you're talking! I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) some Americans take pride in their BBQ, ribs and chili. If any of you are up for the challenge while I'm over there, I'd be proud to be a taste tester. All in the name of international culinary research you understand.
I'm going by myself this time.............probably following Jim and John to make sure no parts fall off Jims truck.
Hey Muttly, any chance your driving a "pick-up" truck down there? EVILT's got a guy from AZ thats going, and has a complete str axle front end, brakes and all that he "could" bring, if it had a ride from the roadster show to up here. I'd be willing to drive from Morro bay to Fres-yes to come for it, so it wouldn't be out of your way. It just needs a relay to this area from the show. There'll be beer money for ya, If ya can't it's cool, just throwin it out there. Eric
Thanks Muttly for letting me know so fast, your a good cookie, or so I've heard, i'm not willing to taste something like that! If anyone else from up my way is able to help, let me know. Even if it's just receiving the axle and holding it for a short time, till our next trip down to the L.A. area. Mucho aprecciate any help. Now back to your allready in progress discussion
If the ol roadster holds together I'll stop by . Plan on leaving oregon on the 10th for corona. B-O-B
If I bring the truck I could throw my BBQ in the back. we could cook up some good tri tip and maybe a few ribs on this one. its a old well seasoned stainless steel barrel. let me know and ill make it happen.
so where are you guys going to meet at bobs ez up? on sat what time ? i'm going out there for the first time in four years.see ya there. billy

You better not miss this one, or else I'm going to kick your *** . The BBQ seems to be happening at the Crown Cycles/Fomoco Mofo's, booth/motorhome, in the vending area. I dont know what time, lets say 12 o'clock saturday????????????? What do ya think?????
Ok so if im right the BBQ is already taken care of? no BBQ at the hab tent? what time do the gates open on saturday? whos heading down form the whittier la habra area?
I'm gonna be there really early and tape off a spot. Not sure what time I can get in. BBQ with Jeff and Primo,at the Crown Cycle booth, but the HAMB meet is at my Canopy ay noon. Guess we can all wander over to the BBQ afterwards. I'll have beer on ice all day,for anyone who stops by. There should be something cooking too!
I'm planning to get in early as possible, hit the swap -because it's there and so am I - then the HAMB tent. Well, that's the plan. If I've got beer, maybe dump it with Bob first, otherwise I'd be forced to drink it on the go.
OK X38, I accept the challenge. I'll make a big ol' pot of my Hydrazine Flash Chili (It's good for a tenth). The caveat is, I won't be able to heat it up on a BBQ grill. Can't control the heat. Can someone provide a campstove or let me warm it up in a motorhome? If so, I'll bring chili, bowls and s****s. Let me know soon and also, let me know how many folks to expect. Phil
we'll have 2-3 BBQ's at our swap spot, so come & get one in the morning to drag over to Bobs for the noon meet!
Accepted Phil! As a chili maker I'm looking forward to this. I've heard wicked things about hydrazine....lucky Bob's setting up near the portaloos! Is it anything like that one Homer Simpson had? Plane in 18 hours Yippee!
Well, OK! I still need someone to provide a stove or burner. I'm not going to ruin another chili pot on a BBQ. Plus it burns the chili and makes it taste bad. Somebody, please say you're bringing a stove. Phil
Talking to the wife I came up with the idea of putting some on a crockpot. But I'd need to plug that in somewhere. I hate to nag, but I'm trying to figger out how much chili to make. If I can't heat it up at the fairgrounds, I'll just bring a LITTLE in a thermos. Ideas?
