WOW-cool stuff overload. Thank you

4. Amazing!!

Thanks for sharing ALL the pics. Those are most I've ever seen of Tardel's. That place is the Valhalla for vintage stuff.

Saaaay, either of you two gals have an older sister? Just half as pretty is OK.

Denise, you are a great tour guide. I haven't been on the HAMB long and don't post much but read alot. Your post has to be one of the best with great narration. I really enjoyed "seeing" Brizio and Tardel's shops and all the treasures. I think I'll read it again. Thanks for sharing. I'm very envious of such a trip.

Denise has done a great job of showing where we went and what we did as usual. So I’m just going to add a few of my favorite pics to her post.

Obviously I am really a fan of roadsters. I really liked color on this one.

And the motor was just as cool…

I really had never seen a motor before that was ALL blacked out, but I really liked it as well.

I couldn't believe the ala kart was right there in front of me! It was neat to see such a famous custom in this state. Sure it will be cool when it is all redone but it was just as cool to me to see it like this!
The amount of upholstery on this car is crazy! I also really liked the exhaust.

There were some really neat pictures around the shop there. I particularly found this one comical...

It actually had like a glaze over the art to simulate rain!

man, looks like one heck of a good time......

i'd really like to make it out and meet vern some day.....that's a goal....

he, himself, just has the "look" of an ole guy that sleeps, eats and breathes hot rods.....one of those ole' fellas you wished lived up the road from ya!

Now on to Vern's...

Most of my photos there are tech oriented and top secret! :) However I do have a few of some neat stuff. Not that there is any neat stuff there to be seen...

I really like the history and so called "pedigree" of a car so I really like seeing his stickers in the trunk of his roadster. It was a neat representation of where the car has been and the roads (or salt!) it has roared across.
Sure beats the heck out of one of those hokey color in the state maps you see on RVs!

I also really dug this vintage Bonneville sticker
[IMG]

The views around the ranch are absolutely beautiful only adding to the thought that it just may be heaven...

If I understood right, this car has particpated and planned to participate again in the Great Race
[IMG]

I took a particular interest in the spare cover being from Ohio and all...

Thanks again for an awesome thread! I may need to reconsider my signature after seeing those photos from Tardel's ranch... Any plans to visit Finland, Denise and Megan? :)

Wow. Just wow. I have a AMT model of the Ala Cart I bought when I was just a kid. (long time ago!) It's still in the box, never been built, all the parts still attached. But Tardels. What Ryan said! Wow.

Denise, you know how much I enjoy your photo essays. I know I sound like so many others here, but it is evident how much you enjoy people, cars and life, thank you for giving us this little glimpse.

You will be at the HAMB Drags, right?

Jeeeeeesh, how the hell did I miss this thread. Been on twice a day and still didn't see it until this AM. What can I say Denise, other than "You are the number one H.A.M.B. ambassador." Your photo essays are the best and the descriptions accompanying them make me feel as though I was there right along with you. What a treat!

Thanks again for supplying all the rest of us unfortunates with those great shots of Roy's place and Vern's heavenly piece of real estate.

Hope to see you in B'ville this coming August. Cant wait!!!

27. Make that HAMBassador! I say we give Denise that title officially. And I agree with whoever said she should write a book. Maybe it's too soon yet, but with all the places you've been and people you've met Denise, it would be a crime against Hot Rodding to not collect your stories for future generations.

It's really good to see women out there enjoying the same kind of dorking around that I enjoy.
I'm completely blown away by the Tardel photos, especially of outback. I'm already daydreaming about taking a vacation there, absolutely amazing.

We'll make it a "Gals of the HAMB visit". I'm sure Vern would approve.:D Keep in touch.
