    Show us your carbs!

Everyone has a favorite carb/setup for single or multiple setups. Post some pics of your favorite, and tell us why you dig 'em so much. From a single Rochester 4g to a 6x2 using 80s Hitachi carbs robbed off some Japanese 4-bangers, to a row of Mikuni motorcycle carbs, one per cylinder... bring 'em on!

By the way, has anyone used one Linkert carb (from vintage Harleys - see pic) per cylinder?, or some S&S or Del Orto carbs?

Hello All....Of all the intakes I've built, this is the one I like best..It's sitting on a Flathead and operates great..Of course the engine is built to handle it..

For you guys that are interested in what he's talking about, here's a quote (click his link above for pics - it's badass):

"Reverse Flow Induction Small Block Chevy

Runs on E85 uses Flathead V8 Crab distributor (with original points), 2 racks of Honda 750 motorcycle carbs, remote water pump, and remote radiator - No external moving parts."

Here is our 4-2 setup - no progressive linkage - they are run straight on. We used to run (4) 48's on alcohol - but we have too much cam - would not run rich enough...

    Wow!

That's like... carb... "porn"... or something. Jesus...

It makes me feel both dirty and clean, all at the same time.

This should be a poster. Hell, Pooch should sell posters and T-Shirts of his hard line work. Seriously - he could probably sell calendars!

A pair of '66 Pontiac AFBs (575 cfm) on a repop of a factory '63 421 Super Duty 'bathtub' tunnel ram.

Bent up the fuel lines and built the progressive linkage myself using '66 Tri-Power parts and some home-fabbed carb levers.

There is a little bit of history behind these 'bathtub' repops. The late Dave Johnson is the gentleman who cast this intake, he passed away from cancer this last Memorial Day weekend. RIP Dave.:(

It's one of only 22 that he made. Dave was a hard-core stick-shift Pontiac drag racer, he cast this intake to make his '63 Lemans more competitve in the Nostalgia Super Stock class that he raced in.

Dave's 'White Warrior' race car, in a picture taken just one week before he left us.

HELL YES I want to see some more!

    That Offy linkage is SWEET.

You know, I've got a Carter 2-bbl collection going now - two from mid to late 60s Mopars. They look like they'd be nice with the right linkage. They (like my beloved WWs) flow about 280 or so CFMs.

    What are those 1-bbls flowing?

A life-sized picture of that 5X2 would make a really cool poster. One of those long, skinny ones.

Nothing as cool as what is above, but:

3 Rochesters on a Vette Intake (I've never had this setup running:rolleyes: , so I don't even know if it will work or have enough to run the motor)

Oh yeah and those crappy fuel lines are long gone

Don't worry - you'll have it running someday!

You know, if I was a smart person I'd have used Rochesters instead of Stromberg WWs. But OH NO, I had to be different.

Sometimes the price you pay for originality is your ride being down for a while. It makes me wonder if a single 4-bbl or EFI on an SBC is a necessary evil for road trips, etc. True, it's the easy way out, but you can find parts at any auto parts store, and drive right by the overheated flatheads on the side of the highway on a cross-country cruise. It's the easy way out, but at least I'd get to drive more...

WTF am I saying? Screw that!
