Well, I though it was about time to de-lurk and start to contribute. I've been leeching great info from you guys for a while now so I guess the least I can do is say hello! I'm Tim and I live about 30 miles west of London. right now I'm driving around our narrow streets in a '64 Pontiac Grand Prix (an interesting exercise with fuel over here at $9 a gallon!) and I'm starting work on the '53 Anglia below. It's going to be a British 1950's sprint replica, powered (if you can call it that!) by a Ford 100E 4 banger flathead with some period Aquaplane tuning parts, a 105E 4 speed box and 105E rear end. Good to be here - maybe I'll bump into a few of you so-cal guys when I'm over there in September?!
Snap............ Especially as I had already gate-crashed the HAMB meet-and-greet at Paso.............
Bout bloody time you de-lurked.... For those of you who I saw at Paso, this was my mate Graham from London, here for the show....The one still drooling...
Well, actually the $9 a gallon isn't strictly true, because that's a loose conversion of the price of a UK gallon which is bigger than a US gallon. The nice go-faster 99 octane V-Power in London is currently 105p/L which translates to about US$7.85 per US gallon.......which is still feckin expensive.......
