You're in luck. You like vintage planes & historic racing cars? The Collings Foundation Open House "Wheels & Wings; Great and Small" June 16th and 17th - Fathers Day Weekend Open Daily: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Donation Requested: $10 Adults / $5 Children The Collings Foundation is a private organization, open to the public only on Father's Day weekend. About 40 minutes outside of Boston, it's an amazing place, since you're in town it's not to be missed. The prewar sprint cars are worth the price of admission alone. Click here for more info, list of cars & planes on display, etc.: http://www.collingsfoundation.org/cf_openhouse2007.htm
On Sunday there is the Tim Carroll Memorial Cruise starting in Peabody M***(about 15 miles north of Boston on Route 1)at Indy Auto Parts at 9am.They are cruising to Puritan Lawn Cemetery for a brief service and then for coffee at an undisclosed location. This cruise was started 8 years ago in memory of Tim Carroll(an avid New England hot rodder)and has since expanded to include all hot rodders in the area who have p***ed on.There is usually a huge attendance of cars. Sadly the list is getting ever larger(35 on the flyer I received)and nearly all are old friends.Hope I can make it out some year before my name gets on there. If you would like additional info, PM me and I will give you the contact info. Ray Smith
