I have a '52, and also a '94 C1500 short bed, I really want to do a body swap, has anyone done this. Would it work with 15x6 wheels. Or am I going to have to widen the fenders? I know everyone uses S-10's, not interested in that chassis.

Been meaning to post some photos for some time, just couldn't corner my daughter long enough to get some posting assistance.

Lucky enough to still have all of these with about four others not shown. The project was a bare cab on frame rails in Jan. and it is a few days away from paint now. Would have probably been done by now if I had a extra pair of hands to help, or at least someone to half the beer intake..................:D :D :D

Here is mine the day I brought it home.
Since then I had the wheels coated red and got some BFG wide whites.
I got the thing running and I just need to finish up the brakes before she is drivable.
This winter I plan to drop it a couple inches.

I talked to the owner that had it before the guy I bought it from. He used it for hauling pigs in to town, but before that..... I am not sure.
There is a #298 stamped on the inside of the door jam. One of my friends presumed the truck was used as a military vehicle......

new here but this is my 54 which i've been messing with for the last 4 months. it's got a 4" dropped axle, - 4 leafs on each spring up front, and 5-1/2" blocks on the rear. s10 4 speed manual, original 235 and a aerostar van ford rear. plans include to keep the 235 and hop it up with a 3x1 offy intake, valve cover and side cover, loose the hood, dual exhaust and go from there.

I'm new to the AD truck group.. I picked this up a couple month's ago..52 Chevy 3100..
I've already redone most of the mill, and swapped the wheel's and tire's.. Plan's this winter are for a complete tear down and rebuild, it will still pretty much look similar, but there's a lot of stuff that need's to either be done, or redone to make it right..
When spring come's, it'll be my daily from then on out.....then again, i've been driving it every day already since i got it back running.:)
