I just crushed my beloved Chevy! the clutch went last night and since the trans was junk, the motor had 300k miles and the frame was rotted out it was time. i thought about putting a sbc in it but it was just to rusty. RIP turd truck. it was fun to watch the front end loader attack it at the scrap yard. and it went in running! just had to start it up in gear at every light cause the clutch

Right now it's a 99 F250 Super Duty. It was this 71 Chevy. Got it in my shop getting a shave and drop now though. Might be one of the old Fords next.

My first real truck - built 360 FE and C-6, too much motor for the rusty frame... Sold it when everyone said I needed to get something newer. My current 68 Polara wagon, that does everything the "new" truck and trailer don't do... And then there's Wally, who chases down all the parts I toss across the shop!

  29. I bought the little 85 S10. Its emissions exempt here and runs and drives real good, and has very little rust. $500 truck that needed $75 in parts to safety, and gets mid 20's mpg on the highway. We'll see what it gets after I tune it up. It it doesn't get any better on gas, it might end up with a nice 350 in it.
