I'm going.......... For the guys that don't know whats going on here is some info.... Lamar is the home town of Night Prowlers Kustum accessories. Gary Glasgow (Owner of Night Prowlers and KKOA hall a famer) for years held and open house and it has grown to a point that the guys wanted it to last longer. Gary called me and asked if I would mind throwing a show together. The past couple of years we've had around 150 cars per show. The Krawl. is for the true Kustoms and real Hot Rods. June 23 2007 Lamar, Mo. Entry fee is $15.....Friday free feed at Fast Eddies Hot Rod shop, Chili, Hamburgers and Hot Dogs. Saturay we hang out down listen to kool music and do the trophy thing. Saturday afternoon we have a Poker run. Satuday night,Free hot dogs and fire works at the park to celebrate the towns 150th anniversary. Need more info?? post the question...... Happy Trails, Mick
We are definitely going, way to much fun! Looking for anyone planning to go from the Wichita area, we are leaving Friday morning around 9 to head over.
Here is another picture of Jack having a good time in Lamar. Funny thing is, I'm not sure but this picture looks like it wasn't taken at the Krawl. Lamar doesn't have that many cops or a donut shop. Needless to say the town is not the same when it gets invaded by a bunch of Stray Kats. Happy Trails, Mick
Funny thing about the picture it looks like the one taken at the SK500. I'll try to get my story straight next time. Sorry Jack, to ruin your good (??)reputation. Happy Trails, Mick
I would like to go...looks like a good kustom show...I would bring my 64.. my mercury is still not finished...Anyone know what there is for sleepin there friday night..tent??...rooms?? Still uncertain Lowlidx50
BTT It is a great time, looking forward to it all again...........Mick and the gang do a super job as normal with this and the town square is really kool.
I can only imagine being a high school kid & kruzin Lamar's town square on weekends. We didn't have anything that kool in Oklahoma. Kruzin McDonalds is not the same...... We will not be watering our yards anytime soon.... We received over 8 1/2 inches of rain over night and it caused some problems. I live out of town on a hill so we are fine. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers..... The Super 8 Motel phone number is #417-682-6888 last I heard they had some rooms left. Tell them you are coming in for the show because we have the hotel blocked out for the show....... Friday afternoon we have a cookout at Fast Eddies Hot Rod Shop. They put on a spread that can't be beat. Chilli, hamburgers, hot dogs and all of the trimings. Anymore questions just let me know. Happy Trails, Mick
Where is Fast Eddie's? Is Lamar small enough to just drive around and find it? The Bonneville won't be there, but I should be.
The town is small enough to find it. The address is 1105 Cherry is Lamar. Check out their web site....http://www.fasteddieshotrodshop.com/ When you are driving towards downtown, you will turn north right before the traffic light. Look for all of the Kustoms and Hot Rods all over the streets..... I'll be the goofy guy eating Chili. Happy Trails, Mick
So when would be a good time to arrive at Eddies on friday? This will be my first Krawl and I dont want to miss anything. So anyone going from central mo?Also will there be anything going on down at Night Prowlers ? Thanks in advance Lowlidx50
Hey Stratkat, Looks like you posted the wrong website for Fast Eddie's. Tim Regal, the owner is an old freind of mine. I thought he had a site. I can't find the right one.
does not look like i am going to make it this year but i would be more than happy mick to donate a panel again this year and maybe jack would be so kind to bring it down for me
Hey Hey my kinda town, count me in. as I remember there are not too many motels around, but Joplin isn't that far for a room...once stayed 40 miles away from an event...drive didn't hurt me or the kemp. but then Lamar is only 3 hrs away from home, a quick trip down I-44 Johnny Angel
Sorry guys for being away from the computer. I was doing the Daddy thing yesterday......Guys start pulling into Lamar around 12:00 on Friday.....Fast Eddie's Hot rod shop, guys start showing up at 5- 5:30 the feed is at 6:00. This will be the best Cook out that you've been to Brian and Tim go all out with their open house. It is more then just a weiner.... Glasgow will be around all weekend with his trailer. Night Prowlers will be on the square downtown on Saturday. He will also be open all day on Friday. Friday is a good day to check out the KKOA hall a famer's place. Fast Eddies Hot Rod shop web site... http://www.fasteddiehotrodshop.com/ Poker run will start around 3:00 on Saturday and end at the DQ I hate to hear your not going to be able to make down for the show. Your panel was a big hit last year. I get to see your panel about four times last year. The guy has it in his shop and it looks kool hangin on his wall. That would be kool if you could do another one. We will giveaway all of this stuff at the poker run and we have some kool stuff to hand out. Talk to the Super 8 this morning and they had a few rooms left 1-417-682- 6888. Be sure to say your with the car show. Pittsburg, Ks is the next closest hotels. This weekend I' was busy working on the artwork for this years trophies. For all of you trophy hounds out there. The artwork turned out pretty kool..... Any more questions??? Happy Trails, Mick
I waited too long super 8 is full at this time for friday.I did however get a room at blue top inn.Anyone staying there? Lowlidx50
We have some guys staying in Pittsburg, Ks and Carthage, Mo. The blue top is right down the street from the host so you'll still be in good shape. Happy Trails, Mick
