Making some progress...slow but it's progress! Now I'm knee deep in mud dust! The body is back on the finished frame and here's a few pics of what I've been up to.
i think your Nailhead is having an iden***y crisis. it thinks it is an Olds motor!! LOL... just playin. the car looks GREAT!!! i've got a 322 Nail goi in my 47 Chevy taildragger... whenever i get back to workin on it.
Beautiful car, maybe off-set some of that gold painted nailhead motor with a little chrome here and there, maybe some chrome valve covers, pulleys, intake etc, not too much just a little.. No dis-respect intended Awesome job man....
You *******, I almost cried...what would I ever do if the ***guy didn't like my car???? hahaha Then you post this and put me under this extreme pressure, you're forcing me to take up drinking to calm my nerves! Yea, yea I know, the Road Agents Rumble on the 21st is my deadline and is what's giving me the drive to put in the hours in the garage that I am. It's gotta be there!!! No dis-respect taken, I always appreciate the comments from the HAMB even as ****ed up as they can be! hahaha I've got a Stelling & Helling style air cleaner going on and am looking for some chrome valve covers - any one have any??? ...we're thinking alike ChuckleHead! Thanks everyone.
nice keith, very nice for sure. are you working totally alone on this build or do some of the worker bee's come over to pitch in? keep at it man, we are all impressed. later, mike
The dash thinks it's an Olds also! What the hell would you know about bondo Jim? How many gallons are you up to on the Caddy??? haha The Caddy is lookin real nice by the way. Give me a wrench, give me a welder, give me a hammer, just keep the frikin bondo and the dust! Thanks Mike, no it's just me and the trusty dog. I even had to kick her out when I started on the frikin bondo! haha
looking good keith, cant wait to see it driving around. any more info about that show on the 21st? my 55 should be done by then, and it'll be car show time after the bugs are worked out.
It's a '53 Olds, when I was first piecing the dash together I thought it might be too big for it, but I like how it ended up and the nice thing is that all the gauges work. Thanks The Rumble is the best damn show in the east! http://www.theroadagents.com/Rumble2007.htm
