These pics are from Daley's Salvage yard in Columbus, Texas. I took these a couple years ago when I grabbed a rear-end out of a '53 Ford for $200. They have a website and all of their old cars are listed in case you're interested: http://www.daleysalvage.com/ Just there for the pickin', boys!!
Here are some in a woods near my parent's home in NW Ohio. I had to brave the bees and mosquitos for these pics. I like to hope someday I can go rescue a couple of them.
... thanks guys... now I'm going to have nightmares for sure. there is NOTHING like this locally, sometimes I'll find an old body in the bushes (like 1/2 a 26 roadster) but nothing savable
Just cruisin' thru this thread again and looking at those (most anyway) unusable cars and I remembered this site. Not all the cars are American but have a look anyhow. This is in Portugal by the way. www.intuh.net/barnfind/afa70.htm The big old tourer would be my choice, trying to decide what it is,maybe some knows.
Queensland,at least close to Brissy has been well picked over..but this is in Western New South wales, I lost the rest of the pics but these were taken After the best cars were sold in a big Auction.

I inherited these two trucks when I bought some acreage in Oregon. Don't know what I will do with them.
While it is too bad that a lot of these cars won't or can't be saved, at least you got some cool shots to make garage art out up. Hell, I would'nt mind having one to sit in my yard as they are though my wife probably does not agree about that. Some of them look cool. I took a lot of shot of cars when I was in Door County Wisconsin a few years back. I'll see if I can hunt them down..........
Posted these sometime ago, Buick Skylark Conv. owner said he wanted 2,500. [IMG]http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j281/petritl/Ponderosa/PICT0009.jpg
Found this in a friend's dad's driveway, where it's been sitting for at least 3 years. I'm working on buying it now, but the friend says his dad wants to meet with me and talk about a car 'that's in much nicer condition' that he has in storage. YIKES! His dad used to build hotrods in the 40s/50s, so my fingers are crossed on this...
I pulled this photo off a non-automotive website. The old Merc is supposedly abondoned in Smiley Hollow, Robertson County, TN. Anybody want to go get it?
Visited a local scrapyard not too long ago that's well known for having old car and high prices. Legend has it, he won't let a car go for less than $5,000 (no matter the make, model or condition). We asked prices on a few parts while we were there and it seems believeable. When you walk into their office there is a framed newspaper article from about 20 years ago boasting their 8000+ vintage cars. Seems he's been on a crushing spree lately because when we were there, there couldn't have been more than 600 cars. Here's some pictures of some of the cars.
We couldn't even get to some of the cars because the brush was so thick, and these pictures are just a fraction of what was out there.
Boy, wait until I get home! I have a large shoe box full of yard pictures I took about 10-15 years ago. Sadly most of the yards have been crushed out. Here are a few recent pics from my work pc. Hope to return to this yard to check into things further.
54 found in Texas. Now in my friends driveway. Sat so long, the floors were sittin on mud. Owner thought it had been since 79 or somewhere along there....
