So after all the drama that went down with my car at the shop..I start finding missing parts. So I put a request in the wanted section for some brackets for the 52. Got a few responses from people who had them for sale. But "damnford" comes through and says he has them and I can have them, whats my address. I offered to at least pay for the shipping, but he declined. Said people had helped him in the past, and it was now his chance to do the same. Box showed up at the house today. This is what the HAMB is all about. Something as small as this make the money I lost at that shop not sting as much. It good to know there is still people out there like "damnford". After getting hosed at that shop, I was beginning to doubt it. Anyways, wanted to publicly acknowledge and thank damnford for the help.

    Good form Damnford.
KB Cookout and GMC Bubba both did something real similar for me. There are some awfully good folks on this board.

There are still great people in this world!
Damnford is obviously one of them...but he isn't alone here on the HAMB.

For example...I've been looking for a set of original signature Chevy valve covers for a year or so. (Long gone up this way...)
I asked "40Studedude"...(Roger Jetter) to sell me a set he had in the FOR SALE section 6 or so months ago, but after going to his storage place he couldn't find them. Thought he must have traded them off or something and forgotten about it so thats all you can do...SORRY!

Anyway...he came across a set of nice ones in a junkyard last month, bought them, blasted and primed them, AND sent them to me on HIS coin!!!
    NO CHARGE!!!!
I knew nothing about it till last week when a box appeared at the Post office for me!

I know JUST how you feel OUTLAW52.
Now WE need to return the favor by p***ing on the karma.

You know al this BS about whats traditional and whats not. Helping each other on hot rods is about as much a tradition as there is. I'm proud of damnford for being that way and proud of outlaw52 for saying thanks. It's traditional you know.
