  1. My neighbor and fellow Primate Aaron (392_hemi) dropped by this AM with his new garage addition...

    Words can't describe how perfect this hot rod is... unchopped original steel, no patch panels, unsplit bones, 59 AB with Weiand heads, original Thickstun intake and air cleaner... best of all it's not a "retro rod," it's a true survivor, built in Pennsylvania in the 50s.

    Congrats to Aaron, who's been on a Deuce safari for a couple of years.

    I bought the car from a guy named Bob Smith near Philly. He had it for about 20 years and added parts along the way and got it in its current condition. I'd been looking for a car for a couple of years now and made a half dozen trips as far as Portland OR, Atlanta GA and Austin TX. So I'm glad I found a nice one. I'm also pretty lucky this one didn't get totalled on the way home when the tire blew out on our tow vehicle when I was doing about 75 into Toledo after 24+ hours on the road. Sure made for a memorable experience though.

    Heh.. I know a Bob Smith here just south of Philly. He lives 5 mins. from me and I never knew he had that car! I knew he was into restoring Model A's and stuff, but I always thought his stuff was all stock. Guess not! Nice find.

    Great catch! Way to go!

  26. Nah, that won suit his garage at all! Better post it to me, that would look great with my garage............

    Awesome find, one lucky man indeed!
    Doc.

  27. Sam - beg your pardon? LOL

    Actually Aaron's got the best garage in Deerfield. He's also got a stock '31 coupe and a '34 flatty powered hotrod PU in process, plus a ba*****t full of cool parts.

    I drove my coupe over to Aaron's yesterday and on the way over I noticed another neighbor had a nasty primered t-bucket in his driveway, so maybe it's getting contagious.

  28. Hot rodding is contagious, my father told me that. One of my mates was building a rod and dad said;
    'Its going to take that contagious to finish that'

  30. That's awesome...! Congrats, Aaron.
