found some old ass pics from when i went to prom. tried to convince her to just go cruising but i guess the prom was more fun:rolleyes:

i borrowed this 67 impala from one of my buddys. driving a juiced car ruined me. i will have one some day! i had to do so much work to this thing so he would let me borrow it but it was so worth it. I thought i was king shit when we pulled into prom on 3-wheel.. o man whata good day.. shity date but fun car!

    3 wheel!:D

  6. I've always loved them! I've been into the "lifestyle" since that feature on the Imperials in a '74 issue of Hotrod magazine.

I striped a few here in Chi-Town in my time. Here's a Chicago "asphalt scraper" from '81.....

Those pics are sweet! I took my Mom's PT cruiser to my girlfriends senior prom, lmao!! That was when they were brand new and everyone thought it was so cool! I haven't felt that gay in awhile.

The first pic reminds me of my buddy who used to have a 91 escort that had the little 13" wire wheels that stuck out like a foot. He was such a studio gangsta he rigged up some photoshoot using cinderblocks to make his car look like it had 3 wheel motion and he used a nintendo controller to look like switches!! Whatta lameass!

When I was in high school there was a guy that had a '80's RWD Regal with wires and hydros. He also had a fish tank in the back window.

i had a '72 caddy on 14" wires for a while, but never finished it. it's rotting away as we speak i beleive :(

Question....do hydros ride rough all the time?.....Or do the Hydraulics have a 'float' setting for the suspension to 'work'? Always wondered this but never really looked into it deep enough....

"Juiced" cars rule.......another one of those on my 'wish' list......

Any more pics of the BAD yellow '65???

you can run accumulators to smooth them out some. never rode in one w/ accumulators though. you certainly don't build dancing cars for comfort though!

Lots of people run accumulators in their setup. Some people swear by them...others hate them. Installation makes all the difference in the world. Spring choice is a very important factor. Extended a-arms help on some cars. I've ridden in lifted cars that rode nicer than my daily. But I've also ridden in a few that had 'more bounce to the ounce'. It all depends on how they were installed and how they are used.

I grew up with highdros, and the best set up does not ride as nice as my bags.
I know I will get alot of chit for saying that but, the truth hurts.

my brother hates bags, and swears by his highdros but, it seems to me that he swears AT his highdros! LOL!

they always seem to leak, and if you want a reasonably fast set-up you need a min. of 4-6 batteries.
you can't mount the batteries to the trunk floor or you'll bent your 1/4 panels, you have to have a battery rack that mounts to the frame thru the floor , it gets messy . but bags require a lot of hacking too.

don't get my wrong, I love highdros, but I dig my bags more.
having done both, they are about the same amount of work, some cars are easy'er to do then others but in then end its about the same.

another argument FOR bags is, here in Ca. bags are NOT illegal, but juice is.

livin in HB around '74 to '78, my neighborhood friends brother had an ice blue '65 Impala, white interior, 520's, supremes, bellflowers..
And he was a long blond haired surfer boy.
I loved that car, thought it was real "cool".
In my opinion it was the start of my love of cars.

well turns out alot of guys here like lowriders...even the boss. so i thought some guys would get a kick out of seeing what i got to take to prom.

and it did need white walls i allways gave my buddy shit for that.
my girl friend wants hydros on her 62 impala but i still remember how bad that car rode. id like to see how a car with acumulators rides.
