I'm a die hard ford guy, but I gotta say, GM sure got it right in 58. That is one of my all time Favorite cars.

Shorty McShortBus, who belongs to the other '58? Do you have any more pics of that?

Lee's is bitchin'. I don't necessarily car for either lace or wires, but that car just works in every way.

Good luck with her car. I started this car with a milder paint scheme in mind. The '60 Olds grille was just luck. I had one in the garage from a past project, and I saw a '58 with an Olds grille in R&C. My wife was really confused. I had taken the grille out of the '60 Olds because I hated it and wanted a '60 Pontiac grille. Now I'm putting in the '58 and having to build brackets to mount the parking lights? But I really dig it in the '58.

Don't have any pics, but the taillights are '53 Buick lenses in the stock housing. Other than that, just shaved and really low. It's pretty much static low. She's got air shocks in the back that will raise enough to get in the garage and to get the car off speed bumps when it tries to high center. But no fancy air bags.

She and Lux pretty much picked the color. I wanted to go with something about 50 times tamer, but I was outvoted. And I'm glad. I like it and she loves it. The gold is HOK Spanish Gold. Angie and I prepped it and Lux sprayed it. The interior is JC Whitney seat covers. The fit great and look really good.

Anyhow, I think '58's lend themselves well to 4 doors. The lines stay good. If you need any detailed info., just let me know.

THANK YOU!! Some pics of the interior would be great I wanted exactly to do a "whitney" interior but was hesitant!! Apparently it worked out well for you!! To be honest I am still having a hard time convincing myself that a four door (any) can look good but your is" doing it for me ...slowly though! By the way hers is a biscayne so that "post" we have in the middle, between the doors, kinda kraps it up for me, But...... Thanks again..Ken
