OK... So I have had my '32 ch***is finished and torn down and ready for paint now for about 6 weeks. The guy I wanted to paint it is a very well know painter that was referred to me by a friend in the industry. This guy never calls me back after repeated attempts. Then my engine builder tells me that another one of his customers had their car in this guys shop for a year.

So I decide to go with a local guy I know. This guy has been stringing me along to do a damn test panel for 3 weeks!

This is crazy. I have money and ready to spend it for a service and just want a good job in a decent amount of time. And we are not talking cheap!

Anyone know anyone good that can turn around just the damn ch***is at this point in a decent amount of time?

    Signed,
    Frustrated in So Cal.

I had some work down at A-1 Autoworks in Harbor City. They are at the corner of Anaheim and Figueroa off the 110 frwy. Prices are reasonable and turnaround time was OK.

Did they do good work? I want the thing to look really good, but I know I will have to pay extra for the quality.

I was going to go with the PPG Vibrance Orange Blast which is a like an Sunburst Orange Metallic. But the PPG rep talked me out of the Vibrance line due to the difficulty in doing touch ups. The car is going to be driven. So now it is a GM color that is very close to the Orange Blast and is actually called Sunburst Orange Metallic. Not many people saw this color but is was available in 05 on the GM trucks.

ask anybody about Butch Lynch's paint jobs. hell ask Winfield, fat Jack or Watson since he's worked for all of them. He does it for the love and not the money. & he's in Temecula

I saw some of his work and is look really good. The web link does not work. I think it was supposed to be uncle*****en.com but that does not work either. Do you have contact info for him? Was his turn around time pretty good?

    Thanks!
