Hahahaha.... the joke's on him! In twenty more years the gasoline won't have enough octane for anyone to run them:D (if we're even using gasoliine by then)

I hate to say it, but if people will by $4M for a GM show bus or $3M for a '71 Hemi cuda, what's $25-30K for a set of NOS Ardun heads. That's pretty cheap for bragging rights these days since "investors" have gotten into the hobby. I feel the same way about guys paying $2K for a '50 Ford Crestliner accessary steering wheel, but someone always ends up buying it.

It's not great news for us working guys trying to build a car but there ain't a lot we can do about it.

Alright...not that I dont get the rare factor,or the interesting engineering concept, and there damn cool...BUT
I recently went through a collection with two complete sets of the ARDUN conversions and one of something called a DEVLIN, I think DEVLIN...
HOW do these thing actually PERFORM, has anybody here actually RUN them?

Aren't there some engineering issues with the early ones (which these are) that ended up being perfected in the later runs?

That said - I think they look great sitting in the car.

So I was looking at the pics of the heads with the covers off and I was curious - did those ever have a problem with the rockers failing? I was wondering because they look ungodly long. Beefy.... but still long.

Only 300 of them made? Is that an accurate statement?

  26. There were "roughly" 250 sets made.

Still interested in hearing how these performed
NOT like I will ever have a chance at parts like this
I never sweat the parts I cant afford
BUT I am curious to KNOW about the performance gains of arduns
SO when they come up in conversation, I have more to say than those are cool, or super rare
were these the hot set up
ANYONE run them or even hear them run

Yes, they are all that, and if you read any old-time magazines they are most always touted as the HOT setup.

Nowadays, to hear one run will make your hair stand on end, as mine did when I was two feet away from Rick Schnell's blown Ardun Model A sedan at BTTF's this year.

That said, it takes a lot of work to make a stock set run good, and that NOS set will have a bit of carving on it before it hits 5000 RPM.
