Finally, got the hitch installed. I had a previous post about it "seesawing", but turns out it was just loaded tail heavy. We moved some stuff up front and it towed just fine. We just came back from a weekend show, and it rained on us the whole 2 hours there, so I watched it turn brown(rust flash)before my eyes. So I guess we'll bust out the steel wool and shine her up again this week. **BTW, Look for the Suburban and the Shasta in the Forsale section tonight or tomorrow I gots my eye on something.... Here's pics for those who asked on the seesawing post.
Oh Oh!! the gas gauge must be dropping near empty, time to sell. Just busting your balls Grump. I thought you might keep this one seeing as how you had the feelers out for awhile to find it. Looks like a solid ride and I've got too many vehicles/projects or I'd make a serious offer. Good luck selling it. Frank
VERY KOOL looking!! I am wondering what that "bump" is in the center of the roof?!??! I am not much on suburbans (I like 'em, I just don't have one) so that has me puzzled.
Meet Grumpy, cl***ic car salesman extrodinaire. So what gives? I was just razzing you about this at 42 and you said no way. Did your wife go and beat up the old man in the woods for his airstream?
Actually, it is...It is a factory installed roof vent. Mostly used on commercial or military versions, which this was originally built as a US Army vehicle...So there!
Hey Tim, sure hate to lose another 'Burb/Panel guy. Hope it stays in the area. Sure would hate to see it go to some far away land never to be seen again.........Good luck.
