I was scrolling through some of the posts in the last few days and bothering the wife to Look, look, look at this. And this. And, oh wow, this one. So, I'm gonna give my propers to the people who've inspired my ravings: Kustom777, Cleatus, Sam F., Leadsledmerc, Chrisp, these guys, and a whole bunch I can't make come to my mind at the moment, are the Westergards, Bertoluccis, Cerneys, Sam Barris's, Pisanos and Ayala Brothers of today. Their vision and sense of how things flow are the standard of style and taste now. The magazines won't ever give them the respect they deserve, in part because they make their stuff and use older stuff, so they aren't a testimonial for the mags advertisers. But they are an antidote to the poison that appears in the Rat Rod magazines and on the show and cruise scene. Taste and understatement are subjective, I guess. But it's what makes a car one of the cl***ic examples of what we love on the HAMB. And the fact that they choose to honor us with progress reports on what coms from their Fortresses of Solitude shows a level of cl*** and caring about traditional cars that is way beyond *****en. As a guy who has loved customs since Hector was a pup (He's an old dog now), I hope Ryan and those who are involved in shows like the Revolution will create an event that celebrates this return to the tradition of the true sleek style of the elegant hand crafted custom car. They are works of art of the highest order. A Tip of the Viper's Top hat to you Rembrandts and DaVincis of the hammer and torch. Chili Phil
Please mention the guys who's names have slipped my feeble mind. You people know who I'm talking about. Let's let 'em know that we love 'em.

I see lots of hot rod guys. FWIW, I was thinking of custom builders. I do see the connection to hot rods, but the pic of the transves***e totally eludes me.
I don't know if he's here on the HAMB, but Paul Bragg was featured in TRJ years ago and he's got my eternal respect and admiration. Understated styling with flawless execution make the few customs of his I've seen absolute standouts with very traditional sensibilities. His sectioned shoebox is brilliant.
over half my list these guys have built a custom or two in their time. Also add Steve Sellers Clark G-man(another local guy here) I think Evil's list just about does it for me.
I agree with your add...and i'll see your add with Sean Fat Lucky, Mark Morarity and Dave Shutton Oh and TUCK and ***us
Paul Bragg is one of the most talented custom car builders / craftsmen I've ever had the pleasure to meet....and highly under-rated in my opinion. A few years back, I had the opportunity to stay at his place during the Paso Robles show, thanks to a mutual good friend. His level of quality is extremely high, and more importantly his eye for custom work is one of the best around. I have a HUGE amount of respect for him and his work, and I have to admit those few days I got to stay at his place had a big impact on me and what I now consider to be high quality custom bodywork.
Aaron does a great job with what he has, wonder what he could do with a fully equipped shop? He can't answer because he's on the beach in Cabo probably sporting a "Hot Rods from Ur**** " thong!
All these guys have put some great stuff on the streets. It's a great inspiration and opportunity for us kids. I've been able to talk with Alex and see his work, and Mark Perredon and some of the other Tucson guys, and I gotta say thanks to all you for devoting time to teaching and preaching. -Jericho
