New ride....57 Longroof yeah !!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by rat bastad, Aug 4, 2007.

  1. Ok guys after a long time searchin and thanx to a fellow Hamber and a heap of arm twistin, I've clapped my mitts onto the ride I was lookin for.

Its a restored, numbers matching, LA built car that has resided in CA since new. It has a new interior, rebuilt 283 and PG, 3.36 rear, Power steering and retro fitted AC and purrs like a kitten. Have all the original paperwork to come with it as well. Stoked !!

I wanted a super clean, stone stock ( apart from being slammed, the Astro Supremes and the AC ) wagon for a daily driver here Down Under. This will make for a nice Tiki styled ride for daily use and swap meet hauler.

Im gonna replace the drums with a set of discs and a dual master/booster setup as well as adding a Vette 4 bbl intake and rebuilt Rochester 4GC which I already have. I have a nice mild hyd cam and a set of rebuilt heads for a higher CR, better breathing and a bit more pop/tq. I will be keeping all the original #s parts so as to be able to return it to stock should I feel the need one day.

I'm hanging out for it to get here - the tinted windows have to go for the original green glass fer sure.

Here's some pics....the centre console (WTF???) has already been removed as has the aftermarket stereo for the original radio.

    Enjoy !!

Very nice ride, indeed! Ditching that center console was the right thing to do.

Very nice ride. The best thing about a tri chevy daily driver is that parts are available, and a longroof is too cool!
    Sure beats driving a comodore.
