    Thanks Tudor. I managed a 17.90 @ 80 mph with no low gear. The Zephyr gears got corn cobbed a few years ago. Flatty don't seem to need much gear reduction to get moving. I actually won the HAMB fastest flathead award. ...Of course it was the only flathead powered car there. I still proudly display the trophy in my shop anyway. -Mike

    I wish I could join but haven't found one yet. Any chance Axle's old 5w is still owned by a hamber?? I love that car wherever it ended up.

    That's funny, ha. Then mine are backwards!

    I figured they were designed to be more level at the headlight attach point, instead of the 20 degree or so angle.

    Here is my of my collection of antiques, drivers, projects, bodies, etc.......

    3W - old restorod that will be redone to a tradional hot rod
    5W - old original 53K gennie built in Minneapolis, MN
    5W - project flathead highboy
    Roadster - brookville project that I am changing to a 325 Red Ram hemi
    5W - 355/4 speed apart for patch panels and paint
    Fordor - project body with a 2 " chop
    Roadster - My wife's restored Model B Roadster
    The Tub - Tudor/tub
    Roadster - My driver with 48K since I built it
    Pickup - Hope to get this on the road this year
    Tudor - Project body with 4" chop that needs a lot of work
    Roadster - My wife and I on the road to the 2005 LA Roadster show
    Cabriolet - The tree car, the metal work is done and waiting for it's turn
