Yep 29 you are correct,so may people have been posting pics I forgot where it came from. Ok anyone have any winter Mail Car pics???
Someone just had that pic in a thread about a car show. I borrowed the pic and posted it on another forum. Here is the pic they had. Did not copy their post link though.
An uncle of mine has a Model A coupe with big ribbed bomber tires on the front and round-knobbed tractor tires on the rear. It also was a mail vehicle, out of Montana. It sort of looks hot-roddish with no fenders and a round fuel tank where the rumble seat once resided.
Used to be one like that in my hometown, out by a barn in the middle of nowhere. It had the same setup...stock Model A Wires with spacers welded between them and a set of tractor wheels & tires. I always thought it was cool growing up. When I got old enough to realize what the car actually was, it was rusted beyond recognition.
My buddys dad bought one when we were in high school, Was a model A sedan delivery ... It to was a mail delivery truck, Had '35 ford wires that had been widend and the out side ring was from a 16" split rim. Also had ribbed air plane tires, about 49" tall if i remeber correct.
My 28 c-dan delivery was a mail car in Yellow Stone . It had bomer wheels and tires on it. Theres some pics of it on the hamb when i bought it , but i don't know how to find them in the archives.
29Bowtie they are cool but the bottom one wont open, what did you search for to find them?? Marshall I searched and could not find any pics of it. 1952henry to bad sounds like a cool one to!
