I've seen members post about the 'greatest' junkyards, but I've never seen anything like this. The craziest part of all is that it's FOR SALE! The whole yard!
Not to be greedy, but believe me, if I could figure out a way to finance this I wouldn't have posted! :p
How 'bout we all chip in and make it the official HAMB project car resource? :D

Just scroll through the gallery. A perfectly restorable '40 Zephyr coupe in a junkyard?! Old racers?! Seriously, if your jaw isn't hanging slack by the end you're just on the wrong message board!

Yeah...I can only imagine how many years (and how much money) it took to amass such a varied collection.

Any guesses on what this'll go for? I want to see pictures of the two Cords, I'm curious how rough they are. Never seen a junkyard Cord before.

From what I understand, there are several 32's in there. A five window for sure, not sure of the others.

They won't say where it is located unless you're a serious buyer. They're worried about thieves and vandals. It's somewhere remote and very dry is all I can say...

    Wow that is unreal!

Maybe I missed it but where is this place located? Seems odd that not even the state is mentioned on the contact page?

this place has been "for sale" for some time. and its been posted on here before..

It was rumored to be somewhere in south east Oklahoma..

and after just getting home from spending A week in that area and if in fact these cars are in south east ok they aren't as "perfect" as some of you imagine..

  30. There are pictures of some cars before they moved and organized everything, and it looked like the damn jungle, I half expected to find out one of them was Tarzan's car. I mean, worse even than I run into in New York in high summer. Whoever has this stuff knows what they have and what it's worth.

I'm sure it's in Oklahoma, all the cars have OK plates - and from the looks of some pictures, they didn't all come out of that one yard, someone's been collecting cars for quite some time. For instance, there is a '41? Zephyr 3-window coupe that took a shot in the rear, but didn't look too awful otherwise - but it's shown in a location that is nowhere near the actual yard. It looks like it's somewhere near whatever garage or barn they dragged it out of in a town somewhere. And there's a line of a few cars that are on a fence that look like they're in a similar location, you can see neighboring buildings behind the fence. (One of those cars is a '40 Buick Super 4dr that looks real good except for the lack of glass).

I'm sure as cars go they're not like AZ or NM rust free stuff, but compared to anything in the northeast that's sat outside just as long - they're like new.

I'm just happy to see someone who had a clue found the big yard and didn't just immediately call in a scrapper to crush it all.
