You've left out the snakes!! The top ten most dangerous snakes in the world are here, I think the American rattlesnake is about number 13 on the list.
Then there's the centipedes, scorpions, red-back spiders, white-tailed spiders- we've got lots of good stuff here.

Pity you are not coming a couple of weeks later and you could have taken in the Picnic in Victoria which is early Nov this year.

  11. WHAT?! Make SURE you go to Kings Cross! Go with friends though...it's more fun that way.

  23. thanks alot for the info. im not to sure where we are staying yet. this is a on the whim trip. we were offered a set of tickets and now we are scrambeling to get our $#!t together. any suggestions?

  24. Where to stay? Mmmm that's tough but I'd be looking around the harbour and around to Bondi/Clovelly that way you've got better access to non car interesting stuff and shopping and restaurants and pubs and music. Maybe Northern Beaches??? Do a Google on Sydney, there is sure to be plenty of tourism information sites. And maps, it's a big sprawl.

    And good work agent Binga!

If you're flying into Sydney then book somewhere in the heart of the Sydney CBD to stay. The rail system in NSW is pretty good, and there's an underground network in the CBD that you can get on and off at regular stops. Buses in Sydney are also good, and will get you around fairly easily and cheaply. If you stay somewhere in Sydney near the harbour (Circular Quay) you can also use the ferry system to cruise on one of the world's most beautiful harbours. You can also walk around almost all areas of Sydney safely, especially during the day, but like any major city, stay out of lonely looking areas and stay on well lit, main roads at night.

We're an amazingly friendly country, just say 'G'day' and tell us where you're from. We all speak the same butchered English, except for the taxi drivers, who don't speak English at all apparently. I'm on the Gold Coast, that disgustingly sunny place where they run the Indy every October, and we're about an hour north by plane from Sydney. Melbourne is an hour south of Sydney, and bloody cold at this time of year, so if you're coming north pack your togs, and if you're going south pack your longjohns!

For hotrod related events, go here (if the link works)

    And look in Sydney CBD.

And just relax and enjoy yourselves!

    Cheers, Glen.

  28. id like to find something unique to australia for the 51 merc im building, a piece off a holden would be perfect, maybe even a wheel. hopefully a couple license plates for the shop and a few other buddies.

  29. i know its a little off topic but how about any really good ink shops in aussie. i wouldnt mind a little chair time while im there.

  30. House of Pain, 53 Parramatta Road, Annandale. It's just a quick bus ride out of town, or you could walk if you were feeling energetic! :)

Their website doesn't seem to be working, but there's some info here...
